2007 to 2009 youtube is my favorite. Channels were completely customizable, subscribe button was bright & golden, video's had a rating system, You can see dislikes on NOT only on videos but comments too!, Comments also had like a 500 word limit so you don't have to read through overly large paragraphs that you can make a book out of, Comments can also be blocked for Spam or Too many Dislikes, You can send messages to your favorite youtubers, ads were not as tedious as they're now, no sponsorships, no Raid: Shadow legends, Like/Dislike had color, No bots, etc.
2013-2016 is what i remember. I started my channel in May 2013. Sadly my vids from 2013-2017 got deleted in 2018. But i reupload some of them on my new channel. But for sure 2013 is the best era for RUclips. Starting 2019 everything gets screwey until today. There are bugs on the modern YT. Even worse YT kids exists. #BringOldRUclipsBack

*This!* They completely FUBARred it to accommodate their Android's 'user experience' going from one awful novel 'design' to an even worse one, devoid of colour (1st white, then grey) and personality. Removing the embedded player was criminal, but that was a tie with the removal of the personal messaging option (and despite 'allowing' the download of one's inbox content, the actual/readable user/channel names got rendered completely indistinctly and cryptic, which made it *impossible* to contact any users you created a bond with as a result, eg, via their YT-linked Googlemail, or any other contact-data that were shared in the past and saved): Such an egregious detail of their *downgrades* (but at the same time having their mouth full about anything "community"). Ugh, pass me the Pepto Bismol... *Stat!*
Man though. I don't know about the rest of you but the RUclips UI was at its peak in early 2020. From there, the changes to the UI range from rather minimal to a downright downgrade. Thanks for making me yearn for the days of old!

i miss it the way it was in april 2008 when i joined :( stupid damn google & susan whatshername ruined it. i thought since google+ shut down in 2019 the old comment layout with the top two was gonna come back & so were inboxes :( i remember when they made everybody sign up 4 it & changed the comment section 2 this damn layout on november 6 2013. it was one of the worst days of my life cuz of that & cuz i had my wisdom teeth out. it was horrible. i remember how sore my mouth was & how uncomfortable the gauze was. i puked up my lungs. they were infected too. i could only eat soft food & drink v8 4 a few weeks. i kinda liked stupid damn google when i was eight in 2003 & used their search engine but now i hate it cuz of this & use a different one. i thought since susan whatshername left the old yt in general was gonna come back too :( google sucks!
