Synthetic pillows from ikea take 3 months to off-gas so 3 days is no big deal. I have a wedge without the gel and its great for just lay on the ground and releasing the back!
Interesting about the smell. We just bought me one at Costco and I didn't have any smell with mine and didn't have to air it out or wash the cover, which is unusual since I'm sensitive to smells. Thank you for your thoughts. I will also go look to see if you have videos on just sleep pillows. I need a new one and I'm prone to neckaches/headaches and sleep on my side. Thank you.

Just so you know, I put them outside for 2 days...in winter! Made sure it wasn't going to snow first though! That helped.

I believe it damaged my shoulder. I used it fir reflux but I'm side sleeper and now both shoulder is painful. Impingement.
I agree! That is why I don't recommend wedge pillows in general for side sleeping. Thank you for your comments!
