I know its probably harder to get the footage you need on new lakes but these videos are really helpful. Even moreso than your usual ridiculously informative videos.
Great video Tom and Mitchell. Looks like you were dragging a worm harness with an egg weight..? Really cool to watch you analyze a fresh lake and then score really decent fish!
There is so much pleasure boat traffic on our southern lakes that I’m having to drive 3 hours to a smaller lake to fish but it does have walleye and smallmouth 😊
Well Mr. Tom I guess I won't be seeing you on the 11th in Fargo it's all sold out. Lol I waited months for this and waited to long to get a ticket. Well maybe you'll be back again. I live in Wolf Lake Minnesota so Fargo is the closest to me 70 miles. Thank you for your response I appreciate it. I just missed the response on the date! You guys are killing it this year keep it up
Heck yeah. Looks they were doing the same thing we are, granted our lake is murkier than normal this year, which is using lindy rigs with either a bare hook or a spinner rig. Leeches are getting so darn expensive we may have to start using crawlers like Tom and Mitch. Awesome video man!
Any tips for fishing sandy bottom lakes with minimal structure in the mid summer? Im located in SW Nebraska- walleye aren’t horribly easy to come by out here.
Well, I live in ND and the lake we fish has a pretty flat bottom and this time of year we generally stick to lindy rigs with either a bare hook, butterfly blade or simple spinner rig with spoons. We will mix in a bottom bouncer with the same setups if they arent biting off the bottom and want it raised off the bottom a bit. Leeches and crawlers and sometimes we will vertical jig if its cam enough and we spot a bundle of them. Minnows are a third live bait option this time of year. Dont be afraid to mix in some shallow running crankbaits on lindy rigs and bottom bouncers as well. Sometimes you gotta throw the kitchen sink at to see what they want that day. We tend to fish 15-20 feet this time of year and work our way deeper. Hope that helps.
I always wondered why you edit out the bicatch. It would be nice to see some multi species videos. Walleye are great but the north has an abundance of all species.
Okuma Convector lowpro counter reel is the absolute tits for bottom bouncing. You can make constant corrections so easily with the flipping switch. It's also very affordably priced. Check it out sometime 😉
Thanks Tom and Mitchell. I really appreciate the breakdown of how you are finding fish - it is very helpful. Thanks Again.
unbelievable, 2 random lakes in a row. Come on you guys are killing me.
I love catching walleye and small mouths

Why is Tom running Mitchell's boat?
Hey Tom, would you ever consider doing a tourney video?
Tom did you get your boat fixed or are you still using Mitchell’s?
Fishing has been so tough for me lately, idk if its the pressure, or just typical summer patterns. Theres nothing wrong with bromance lol.
Toss 'em over Mitch!!!
How old is the legend Tom and what does he do besides fishing
Hrs a fishing guide. Not sure which lake in particular though.
New sub! Liked 😀🙏😄
