Honestly loved this video. I'm about to leave for France and I'm trying to pack as light as possible, so this video was definitely helpful in helping me identify the essentials from the non-essentials! (I usually overpack for ALL occasions hehe)
LifeWithBlessy I’m glad you enjoyed! Def make sure you leave extra room in your suitcase. You’ll be buying a lot when you’re there and won’t realize it!
I'm packing for my first au pair job in London fora year and I've been watching this vid every day. It helps so much when packing and trying to decide what to leave out! Thank you
this is making me feel so much more prepared and ready to pack my whole life up, your channel is so lovely 🌹 love from Philly and soon to be Tokyo !!! Here i come
This was awesome, I only own two work out leggings (I don't work out) and I was concerned it wouldn't be enough? Like I'm doubt I'm going to turn into a gym girly over night hahahaha
Hello Tylah, Your video about packing is spot on and straight to the point which I really appreciate. I’m going to study abroad for a year. I’m looking for additional information what to bring and not overdoing it. I have couple of questions and I want to know your opinion.
I’m going to Paris next week and I’m sorting my clothes and other stuffs to fit in my 2 luggages. Did you use luggage organizer?what do you think of small iron?how’s the water there, should i bring my own filter?
@@TylahAli Ok thank you for your advice. I'm quite a traveller too but I don't use organizer when I pack. But this is a different level of travel that I'm going to do. Plus the winter season I do have some stuff but need to add a puffer jacket. What kind of gloves you recommend for winter?
Thank you so much for these nuggets of wisdom, I was a little confused on how to pack next month because I’m So maximalist 🤦♀️ New sub because you’re great ♥️♥️♥️
ahh i’m so excited for you! and thank you for supporting. if you have any videos you’d like to see, please let me know. but truly less is more in terms of packing!!! you got this 🥰
@@TylahAli thank you. I'm also checking out your other videos because I've never left Africa before, I need lots of information if that journey comes through.
Tiana Thompson When I was on my way to France I met a girl on my flight who was also coming to be an Au Pair. She brought 1 suitcase and I was toting 2 suitcases, a duffel, and two backpacks LOL
sarah amin Thanks for watching! The one in the video that i’m wearing is from Uniqlo. For the two I showed in the video the gray one was thrifted in Belgium and the green one is from H&M
Hi Hannah! I personally spent a few thousand but that’s because I did a lot of traveling and honestly some unnecessary spending.. But I think it’s super important to bring a savings with you of €1,000 if you can manage, if not there are always ways around it to save. But it’s important to have money to fall back on in case of emergency ubers, doctor visits, and spontaneous weekend trips with friends!
my running shoes are nike and i want to say i got them at finish line? and i have a pair of like chunky dad shoes i show in the video that were $8 on fashionnova. but my ride or dies are my adidas stan smiths :)
amberaaux Ahhh you’re welcome! I hope you have a blast! Definitely pack LIGHT!!!!! Seriously wish I followed my own advice. I doubled my wardrobe since coming here
Did you bring some toiletries and stuff (shampoo, soap etc) or you left that out and just asked your host fam to get them for you? My luggage is almost full lmaaao
These are great tips, I wish I knew them before I moved abroad!
Yay! I too wish I knew some of these before I came LOL I wouldn't have an entire duffel of stuff I don't use sitting in my closet...

Brian Rose Lim i rolled my clothes, and i’d bring a filter, but i think the quality is okay 👌🏽

How much money did you spend during your exchange year? Loved your video ❤️
Hi Hannah! I personally spent a few thousand but that’s because I did a lot of traveling and honestly some unnecessary spending.. one quick question: where did u get ur running shoes?
my running shoes are nike and i want to say i got them at finish line? and i have a pair of like chunky dad shoes i show in the video that were $8 on fashionnova. but my ride or dies are my adidas stan smiths :)
So in the Midwest of US I usually wear tall brown boots like almost everyday for 9/12 months of the year... should I still not pack them?
if they are your go-to’s, i’d def pack them! if you know you’re going to wear something, might as well not miss it while you’re gone!
❤️ Keep it going
i will for you :)
