Same here, bud. Wyoming County. Cow watering hole that the chickens used as well has been gone for 3 weeks now. Ive been hand carrying about 40 gallons a day.
Food for thought - when filling water buckets, fill one or two extra so you only have to mess with the pump every other day...or one of the family members can help if you are gone or out of commission; they won't have to deal with pump
Buy the used billboard vinyl tarps. Shipping is expensive from California but somehow you can find people who sell them on marketplace sometimes. I have had a 14x48 covering over greenhouse hoops acting as a long poor mans carport for my tractor and sawmill for more than 2 years. Cheaper and well worth the money over standard tarps.
Where I am in Quebec we were visited by a mink that found a small hole we'd missed in the temporary shelter before integrating the new hens into the flock. So we started a brand new batch ... Your setup is not mink-proof. Fingers crossed there's no need. Also, this channel has some of the best info on chickens, their behavior, and raising/handling them - www.youtube.com/@thefeatherbrain
I wasn't looking at the video when you started grabbing squealing birds...you should have seen me jump out of my chair to see what was attacking MY birds!! 🤣
Well, a new woodworking channel! I love that! I don't do a lot of it, but if push came to shove, I intellectually know how, even if I am unpracticed...like so many other things :D
You keep making it hard on your self, get a cam lock fitting and hook your hose to the valve on the bottom of the tank and use gravity flow. For faster flow I built a booster pump in a DeWalt toolbox, it has a 12V transfer pump & LiPo battery, recharges using a small solar panel. Whole setup weighs about 20#, will empty a 330 gal IBC tank.
Wondering how the #Starkline netting and energizer are working after a few weeks and if you've been able to move your chicken tractors. They holding up well?
So far so good. I have about 1 week left beofre we process these birds. For this last week I am moving the tractors to the last green patch of grass we have (frost hit this week) and leaving the doors open so the chickens can range within the netting perimeter. We have had no predator issues so far.
We can't state those details for every video we post. I have over 800 videos on my channel. It is shared all over our website and social media pages. We are in central WV, BTW.
The best tarps I have found are the bill board tarps.
✌️😜 Just had to re-submit alerts for this channel,& I just subscribed to your new channel Brother 💒⚔️ God Bless us All 🇺🇸🙏✝️
Out in the eastern panhandle we had a drought stretch. Been better of late. Rain in the next 8 days of forecast. Hopefully y’all get some water soon.
Forecast this week looks hopeful

Never have seen a mink in this area in 24 years. Knock on wood
@@RedToolHouse That's a pretty good track record.
We just got some rain yesterday that brought us out of our drought conditions, hope you get some soon.

Put a piece of copper in your IBC totes.
Could you have put a spray nozzle at the end of the hose to hold the prime?
Probably. Would need one that doesn’t leak which is an issue with the ones I have
does algae have nutrients for the chickens

Use Apples cider vinegar in your water will help with algae.
Copper
Looks like you're getting some from Helene. Hope it helps.
I'm gonna guess that this rain is going to fill up your creeks. My brother in NC told me has received 9" of rain in the last 24 hours.
We have had a lot so far. Been an incredible blessing
Why don't You Tubers let viewers know there location? Just the state would be nice. Thumbs down for that.
