Glad you found a solution. It is a top heavy watch and when I had mine I do not like the narrow stock bracelet either-way to much of a width stepdown for such a substantial watch. Had the same problem with my Alpina Seastrong chrono diver. It had 24mm lug width and after I put an aftermarket 24mm bracelet on it it became a totally new and better watch to wear.
I just got a homage of this watch for my 6 inch wrist (I know, though it still fits well) and despite being a 120g head, I find it comfortable since it has the flat back and huge flanks of the SLA25
I think this mm300 looks like a better option for a daily for you than the spb143, as much as i love it. You're personality and history with it somehow has a deeper connection there
Happy it worked out for for u with the new bracelet. It's all about achieving balance.. such as much is in life. You found the yang to your ying for this watch.
@@paulbugoni2846 hi, I have it on a samurai padi and the samurai orange face, its a game changer for me, adds to the quality of the watch. It does make them heavy but that's fine with me. They taper down so it doesn't take over the watch. 👍🏻
Just got this combo yesterday and fitted it up this morning. Man, this watch is a beast! Love the M300 and the Hexad. Wore it all day, fits well and is comfortable on the wrist.
Thank you for playing on my inherent biases McMahon. When I saw the title of the video and saw that it was your video, I immediately assumed that you sold the watch lol.
Outstanding Jeff so happy for you my friend. I own the Helm Khuraburi watch and that watch is almost the exact dimensions of your Marine Master 300 . With that said the stock bracelet on the Helm Khuraburi is a Hexad identical twin bracelet and it balances a thick heavy watch perfectly. Your new Hexad bracelet looks perfect on your MM300 . Congratulations on a perfect solution 👍🏻
I just picked up the SLA023 today. At first, got really frustrated with the bracelet sizing for my 7” wrist. The watch was pitching backward due to too many links on front. I removed one from front and added it to the rear and now it fits perfectly!! The trick with the OEM bracelet is to have only 2 full links on the front side & 5 on the rear. The bracelet on this watch is the weakness but otherwise a wonderful piece!
All of options in the Marine Master family of saturation divers can potentially be top heavy as they're just beastly watches (though fantastic pieces, also). I'm glad you found a solution that made it more wearable for you. 😊
You got me with the title lol, I thought you were letting it go. I got my Jubilee bracelet cause of your videos for my MM300 now I might have to get the hexad too 🤔
Greetings from Quebec Bonjour Happy you found the right bracelet for you. Concerning the spb143, I have the 147. Great watch and no QC problem, but the case seems to small for me. You never know. Enjoy
Antoine, I have fond memories of Quebec when I visited my family in Ontario. What size is your wrist? Mine is 7.75. I hope I can acclimate to the 143's case size. It's such a superlative design.
Jeff have you ever thought about going for a Ball watch ..? I promise you won’t regret it .. They are built like a tank ,and quality finishing is top notch
The MM300 looks am probably feels now amazing . That's your signature waatch , Jeffrey ! I sure hope you like the 143 , although that is smaller but its got a different vintage vibe to it. I'm thinking myself of rebuying it . The bracelet on the 143 will be much better than this one on the mm300 for sure.
@@MrGaberacer Another point I want to make about my obsession with the SPB143: When I look at the hundreds of watches on Instagram, none of them grab me the way the 143 does, not even ones that cost ten times as much. What does that say?
Can’t go wrong with a hexad it’s nice and thick although I do think that the Seiko oem one is superior in quality and finish they suck at matching it to the case except a few like the transoceans and the tuna. Usually leave me high end Seiko’s alone except my tunas but I did put a hexad on my samurai and it’s a way better look but I can’t stand their cheap generic milled deployment clasps they are sharp gritty and the action isn’t pleasant at all even compare to cheap Seiko pressed clasps. The ratcheting ones are nicer But good news is their bracelets will accept Seiko clasps to keep that oem look ive used normal milled clasps like that one you have on your 44mm Willard and the ratcheting one that comes with the mm300 all you need is a couple of toothpicks simple and no scratches I think it looks and performs way better just some food for thought
Recently bought one of these. Didn’t even bother messing with the stock bracelet. Just received the SC super engineer last night. Been wearing the watch over 12 hours and am enjoying it without any weight issues.
I'm glad you got that sorted Jeff, I just hope you can live with a 40mm case on the 143. I'm still struggling a bit with my sla043 , because it's a 40mm. It should be comfortable compared to say the mm300, but will it fill the wrist presence desire ? I'm not so sure. You'll either love it and think all your other watches play too big , or you'll just wish it was a 42mm . Can't wait to find out though, lol .
Is it worth buying seiko marinemaster in comparison to seamaster and submariner?what's the daily accuracy of the watch?any issues problems while using the watch?
Hear me out: bite the bullet, save up, make some sacrifices, wait and get the BB58 and call it a day Don't mess around with seiko anymore, clearly you are not happy
Jeff has an 8-inch wrist (20.3 cm). A Black Bay 58 would look like a child's toy on his massive wrist. He had a 41 mm Tudor Black Bay Heritage Diver for a couple of weeks last year, and he didn't care for it. Seiko/Citizen is where Jeff is the most comfortable.
My wrist is actually 7.75. That Tudor 41 played like a 45. Measurements are misleading. You never know until you put the watch on. I still cherish wearing your Omega PO 42mm to Trader Joe's. That was my greatest "This Is It Watch" moment.
The MM300 is a great watch. A word of advice, do not sell it. You will appreciate it more in the years to come.
I'm so happy you're happy with your strapcode bracelet.

Looks awesome!
Yes McMahon, I knew you would love it. I've put the hexad on 4 of my other Seikos, just can't get enough of the hexad. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
What else do you have it on? May get a king samurai and thinking about a hexad….

SPB143! Congrats!
Pleased you have some balance in your life Jeff. Great strap. Good luck with the weight adjustment too.

Glad it worked out McMahon and just remember there is always a bracelet solution!

I agree.
I couldn’t imagine using a NATO strap with that MM300. JEEEEZ, talk about “top-heavy watch”. Nice bracelet, McMahon, Looks the business.
you're welcome for the good advice

@@JeffreyMcMahon its subtle and cool , I liked the dial in darker envs than in direct sunlight. It has better contrast there , IMO

I hope MM300 situation is over now mr PopeyeWrist McMahon
Yeah eating outside of the 3 core meal times is not good. I get away with desserts as long as I don’t do any snacking in between.
Can you make a video of how you make your hot ginger tea? Would love to try it at night. Thanks Jeff! PS the MM300 really pops on that bracelet!

The SLA043 is so classy. I think you should embrace it. Would a bracelet give it more heft for you?
Awesome I think that is the best matched bracelet for the job! Congrats on the 5 lbs! No eating after 7 is a golden rule
Man I was hoping it wouldn’t work so I could scratch the MM300 off my list…
The only way you can scratch the MM300 off your list is if you get the 43.5 black dial Planet Ocean.
For the price of the ocean I’m getting the eumura and 300mm lol

Less cost and similar service costs, so it's a worthy buy with topnotch accuracy in its movement.
