In the manga, Faba pushed Mohn in as he lusted after Lusamine. But Lusamine rejected Faba as she was obsessed with finding Mohn. So Faba drove Lusamine insane.

It's like an inverted version of "Mystery of the Unown":
Just as Entei loved being father to a human, so did Nihelego enjoy being a daughter to a human
That Entei was born from Molly's wish, which was granted by the unowns, so I'm not sure if that counts.
That guy actually thought that the Jellyfish was his daughter Lillie? It looks like Nihilego must have given Mohn some seriously strong hallucinogen!
maybe that or with the ultrabeast it altered his visual perception. there are sections of the brain that will make the person's vision blur and with how the guy forgot much of his memories he probably got attatched to the sillouette of the pokemon and connected it to lillie.
It's the poison. Nihilego are toxic to the touch and it unintentionally was poisoning him.

@@KalorieKalosKompany i honestly don't know. I played the games and watch a bit of the anime but overall it may just be deemed coincidence in game but creators do like to make connections via sillouettes and color scheme.
@@zuziiice8907 this might be misinformative, but I remembered reading the s&m manga that Lillie flashback to her awful memories where she was forced to wear clothes and her hairstyle, to look like Nihilego. I might be wrong
The only thing I find weird is that in the first flashback a nihilego is taking Mohn but in Journeys it just shows the Ultra Wormhole
Don't forget the one that controlled his wife later. The one we all like just happened to be nearby to find him.

I did not realize that! Whoever made the music for this episode did great with the piano. That's a nice reference and thanks for bringing it to everyone's attention. ^-^

Even nillie ( nihilego lilly ) was acting like lilly I can tell mohn think of of her as her own daughter. So sweet im crying. Plus now lilly have a sister now :)

Facts
I’ve got an update: Like her daughter Lillie, Lusamine was also born into a rich family. She adored Pokemon, but always felt like something was missing in her life. It’s also likely Lusamine met Mohn when they were both children. She felt a connection with him, and it was him who filled the void in her life. The two of them spent a lot of time together. Eventually, they got married, started the Aether Foundation, and had Gladion, then Lillie. Lusamine became president while Mohn was the head scientist. Lusamine’s goal was to aid in Pokemon conservation while Mohn studied the Ultra Wormholes, hoping they could potential provide a better energy source for humanity.
One day, an Ultra Wormhole opened up and a ship crash landed near the Altar of the Sunne on Poni Island. Mohn and his team went to investigate. Out of the ship came two people, Dulse and Zossie of the Ultra Recon Squad. Mohn welcomed the newcomers to Earth. They tell him about Ultra Megapolis, a city beyond the Ultra Wormholes where people have developed advanced knowledge and technology.
Upon hearing this, Lusamine and Mohn launch an expedition to Ultra Megapolis. Of course, they left Gladion and a then-baby Lillie at home. Dulse and Zossie gave the expedition team a tour of their city. They explained they received their power source from within Megalo Tower. However, Megalo Tower had a meltdown and the power source broke out. As explained in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, the power source Ultra Recon Squad was none other than the legendary Pokemon Necrozma, the Blinding One. The best way to describe this Pokemon as like this strong, powerful, monstrous creature locked up in a box.
Necrozma broke out of Megalo Tower in its prism form. But going into Ultra Burst made it receive its full dragon appearance. Angered about its treatment, it rampages and causes destruction throughout Ultra Megapolis. Lusamine fought off Necrozma with Clefable and Lilligant. Mohn had Zoroark and Lucario. Faba had Hypno and Alakazam. Wicke used Ditto. Dulse had Buzzwole. Zossie used Blacephalon. Phyco used Stakataka. Soliera used Pheromosa.
However, none of them were a match against Necrozma. It defeated them all. Necrozma launched Photon Geyser towards Lusamine, but Mohn pushed her out of the way to take the fall for his wife. Mohn lied on the ground bruised. Lusamine ran over to her husband, but he somehow opened up an Ultra Wormhole, allowing Lusamine, Faba, and Wicke to escape while he stayed behind.
With his wife and friends back on Earth, Mohn rose from the ground and stood up against Necrozma with Zoroark and Lucario by his side. The two Pokemon launched a series of Shadow Ball and Aura Sphere to discourage the dragon while taking Mohn to the top of Megalo Tower. Mohn hid underneath a platform holding a metal pipe in his hand. Necrozma flew to the top of the tower, but found only Zoroark and Lucario. While the Pokemon engaged in battle, Mohn thrusts the metal pipe into Necrozma’s chest, breaking off an Ultranecrozium Z-Crystal. It’s as if Mohn had stolen the heart of the dragon, reverting it back to its prism form. Necrozma attempts to retrieve its Z-Crystal back, but Zoroark protects his Trainer with a Shadow Ball, super effective on a pure Psychic type. Lucario used Aura Sphere, not very effective on a Psychic type, but Necrozma was so weak, even Aura Sphere was enough to do damage. Weakened without its Z-Crystal and by the attacks of its opponents, Necrozma collapses on the ground. The light within its body completely disappears. But Mohn was so injured from Photon Geyser, he too fell on the floor, ending the battle in a draw.
The Ultra Recon Squad brought Mohn to the infirmary and treated his injuries. Eventually, he would become their new Commander. He ordered Necrozma to be sealed away inside a specialized machine. However, Mohn feared Necrozma would one day return to reclaim its heart. Not wanting his wife, son, and daughter to be caught in the crossfire, he decided to stay behind and run Ultra Megapolis. The loss of her own husband became the reason Lusamine became distant, focusing mostly on the Ultra Beasts. In a way, Necrozma was the cause of it all.
Holy shit I loved this episode. Wholesome asf and an amazing conclusion to the Aether Family storyline. Not only that but the next episode was a whole-ass Alola reunion that felt like the true ending to the sun and moon anime. Sun and moon for all the shit it got had some damn good storylines and this one was no exception
Welcome home and quite an irony an ultra beast out of two was the one that saved him like I said before I guess you can judge a book from its cover

Bruh How Much Gel Does Lusamine Have To Put In Her Hair She Literally Uses Alot Of It
I'm going to sound REALLY heartless for saying that, but... I kinda wish they made Mohn a more interesting character. I mean he's not a BAD character, and he does seem like a good father, but I feel like there could have been more to his character. As a result, I honestly feel more sympathy for his family's reaction to his disappearance than for the disappearance itself. Again, not saying Mohn is a bad character in any way.
Lusamine lost her husbend and has been looking for him the whole.
No wonder she's so distant to Lillie and Gladeon during the beginning
