I've seen him lose his immortality to die with her, I've seen him offer her immortality, and I've seen others cover his grief for the loss. But this?! This is a new level of a twisted idea. Though it reminds me of a story I once wrote about a pooltoy. It delt with how he watches a family grow up, gets boxed away, and feels happy again to see them change. Needless to say, the story was bittersweet. I don't think I even have the notebook I wrote it in anymore. Too many bad memories.

If Fluttershy would pass away Discord would probably go completly mad. She is his only connection to sanity at this point. When i think back to the season six finale, he has gone enrage for a moment just because he heared she got kidnapped. When she would die, he would probably annihilat whoever is responsible, even if it´s time itself.

yo this song still gives me chills each time i listen to it, even this far into the future, like holy shit, the thought of being held prisoner like that and losing your free will and basically being a puppet to someone with really no way of escape is terrifying, the song reflects that thought perfectly, great work
So this is one way it can end for Discord and Fluttershy if they ever get together... many people have been pointing out that Discord will outlive Fluttershy and therefore if they fall in love, he will be heartbroken, but heres the thing. No one lives forever and if we dont live in the moment and appreciate what we have its all gonna slip away. That isnt to say that Discord wont outlive her, he will, but he will just have to let go and move on. I actually thought about writing a fanfic about what would come next. I ship Fluttercord and I do beleive that it doesnt have to be a sad ending for them, Discord will treasure her in his heart forever, but he will move on. It would really move his character further, since he acts a bit childish and likes messing around quite often and its in his nature. He would have so much growth this way if he was able to really let her go. Oh but this is a beautiful song and you sound exactly like Fluttershy, you have a very beautiful voice! ❤
Many, many years later A young orphan filly gets lost in Everfree forest during a thunderstorm until she finally finds shelter inside an old cabin that looks abandoned. She sneaks inside through a doggie door and finds that it's full of many other woodland creatures also finding shelter from the storm she looks around in amazement until she hears a voice behind her say "Well now, it's not very often that we have visitors.". The filly turns around in surprise to see who said that and almost screams at what she sees. She begins trembling and crying only for the creature to say "Oh dear, I'm so very sorry that I startled you. I am Sir Discord, the caretaker of the animals whom call Everfree home. Please, feel free to sit while I get the fireplace going, then I'll get us a nice pot of tea. How does that sound? The little filly getting over the initial shock nods her head and tries to smile. "How wonderful." Discord says. "I do believe that this is the beginning of a new friendship."

He knew she was going to die way before him and he didn’t want to have to live without her, so before that could happen, he cursed her soul into a puppet he created so she could live with him forever. Her soul just wants to pass on and Rest In Peace but instead it it forced to remain inside of the puppet he created and she has no free will with him as well as no way to get help. She’s stuck forever and is pleading with him to be let out and allowed to pass on but he doesn’t want to loose her, so she probably won’t be allowed to pass on. Now, like she says, she doesn’t feel any love for him anymore, rather she just feels rage towards him. The kindness that she used to have and display is all gone and now replaced with a burning rage for discord for what he has done to her. The only reason she sounds so kind is because she is also a puppet so he still have control over her, which is also why she talks to him politely and thanks him for coming. (Also, I think he is like having a tea party with her like they always used to have when they became friends)
I’ve read something like this, discord resurrects fluttershy, but she’s a bit dark, she hardly talks or moves really slowly, at the end of the story, the mane 5 try to release fluttershy, and as she becomes a husk, she is clutching a lamp of discord that she reached for because she didn’t wanna go, and discord casts thunder and lightning at the end, it is described in the story he had this rage inside his eyes, ready to murder
This scenario is very much avoidable even if Fluttershy and Discord got together as I do believe Discord would be able to move on. Still, this is an interesting way to look at what could happen and its a very hauntingly beautiful song. But you are right that this seems like something the old Discord would do, but I think hes grown since then :)
Actually there is a Darkfic or grimdark story where that already exists where Fluttershy is dead and Discord refuses to let her go so he has tea parties with her and the rest of the main 5 are extremely disturbed and worried about discords sanity Fluttershy's corpse is basically a doll all the while Discord pretends she's still alive I remember listening to that story.

This scenario is very much avoidable even if Fluttershy and Discord got together as I do believe Discord would be able to move on. Still, this is an interesting way to look at what could happen and its a very hauntingly beautiful song. But you are right that this seems like something the old Discord would do, but I think hes grown since then :)

Actually there is a Darkfic or grimdark story where that already exists where Fluttershy is dead and Discord refuses to let her go so he has tea parties with her and the rest of the main 5 are extremely disturbed and worried about discords sanity Fluttershy's corpse is basically a doll all the while Discord pretends she's still alive I remember listening to that story.
