Are you able to plays these civs on the regular aoe2 mode? In singleplayer skirmish and unranked multiplayer I mean, without the need to change to the chronicles mod
this is the type of content aoe2 devs should focus on, won't u agree? custom content for historical scenario. Most aoe2 players don't play bcz of the ranked, but bcz of the campaigns
wishing you not take this the wrong way, but consider playing a custom scenario instead of raw 1v1 meta (arabia-oasis-bf..). campaign players-viewers who came to see the new dlc, will just skip most of the dark-feudal age parts in the video, till where are some fights. the ranked players watching this will skip this as well, since they already know basic bo. playing a custom scenario will make more interesting, viewers not knowing what is happening and will stick to the end watching . i know u havent asked for feedback, but i think would be really cool to see a brand new dlc on a brand new map
Windmills didn't exist until the middle ages, and those Norman helm wearing skirmishers? c'mon get rid of both - its supposed to be an 'immersive' DLC.
:v chariot they get both range and melle attack, aizz, 65 gold for it too expensive, bad from this DLC, Sparta too hoplite too weak and wrong everything when make it like a AOE 2 civ, it not same time remember, and if 1 vs 1 hoplite can kill a man with out shield easy with his spear and sword. Hoplite weapon together spear and sword -_- , pre order game but really disappointed
my only complaint about the dlc is the odd number of civs, its weird how its 2 greek and 1 middle eastern isnt it? why wouldnt it be rounded to 2 greek 2 middle eastern? perhaps the design team is being pressured by the shareholder executives and need to prove that they can make money on the product, hemorrhaging their ability to keep making more civs before release? in either event, its fantastic that a separate team was able to make this, cause this is the kind of stuff AoE2 needs
@@GrooveSpaceArk It would have been cool if they took some liberty and had Aigyptos as the second faction, giving them some iconic unique chariot units. It was only technically a regional administrative branch of the government as a whole, but even still, we're talking about a game that lets you have the power fantasy of fighting teutonic knights with legionaries and jaguar warriors. So, imho, taking some liberty to include another 'faction' for the mechanical purpose of having a historically correct outlet for chariot specialization, would have been totally fine and worth it. Despite that, once Krakenmeister puts the new dlc data into his website, we can make our own Greek and Persian factions, so its nice that the community has the infrastructure to compensate in this regard.
less civs mean more dlc later. for example why make a babylonians now when you can give them their own dlc. im sure in time they will hit all the big mid eastern civs
3:19 the new age icons are lit
More complexity, more ideas , more innovation ,more immersion, more history, I love it!!!

Uh? I wanted to showcase that you can indeed play vs the AoE 2 civs.

Is it me or are the new unit models better looking when rotating ?
Hm I haven't noticed a difference but they definitely look well done

I think it's just constrained by reality and what happened. A coalition of Greek city states fighting the Persians.
