I don't think I can make it official unless I go to some great length to borrow a printer for a target, but I will do a .22 entry at least informal entry. People can decide for themselves if I make an honest target or not. Thanks again for the reference to this great contest. It's the big wide internet there should be more of this.
And it was very fun! Every time I shoot any competition I'm shown a great deficiency in training. Standing offhand at a hundred was tougher than I thought. I thought I was going to clean run this contest. Very very cool and very fun. Not a bad metric to measure progress and not hard to just go shoot it once in a while to see how it does.
Not great, not terrible. 75.27 if only half of those shots count, and you had about 59s of extra shots in there, FWIW. But I think you're mistaken about taking _more_ time to shoot accurately. Being hit-factoresque (points per second) *speed* is king. Each shot is potentially worth 500 points, but loses HALF its value after 2s, TWO-THIRDS after 3s, every second after that is only 5% less. Sure, only hits give you points but slow hits (or worse misses) reduce the accumulated value of them all.
I agree more when there's no ammo limitations, such as uspsa, but with a dedicated amount of rounds, I'd personally rather make every round count, and then learn to make them count faster as time goes on. But that's why I'll never be world champion
I’ll double down on your comment regarding bottles and trash. Right now half my personal garbage can is filled with broken bottles and other peoples’ crap from one of my favorite spots.
You're always thinking and have a great attitude. I have no doubt you'll succeed.
Hell I think that's great 👍
Way to get out there and try it! I know it was a DQ but hopefully it was still fun. Definitely do a 22 entry this year as well to make it official.

I ordered some nra targets and had them mailed to me
That'll probably do!!
Still looked like pretty good shooting
I can do better than that. I call it a wake up call. Shooting unsupported offhand is not farming hunting, this for sure

Off hand. Nicely done. I see worse at my range scoped and sand bagged.
