to be honest. Store bought crust is fine, it's literally the same shit. Graham Crackers n all that. Unless you want a hint of a certain flavor or whatever.. don't make your own crust
you probably dont care but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times then you can watch all the new movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Have been watching with my gf recently =)
Thank you for a clear & concise demonstration. I really appreciate that you cut to the chase without some tedious back story that seems to accompany so many videos. 😊❤️
I found this recipe last year and I so love it I have to save was looking for it and thought I lost my favorite cheese cake recipe,I really love this straight to the point and tastes great
I made this tonight, I did melt some dark chocolate and did kind of marble cheesecake, reduced the sugar a bit…it was excellent, hubby enjoyed it. Thank you 😋😋😋😋😋
I love your recipe. I alter my cheesecakes but I always use your as a starting reference because you get to the point. I am so thankful for this video.
Thank you so much for this, I love baking so much that I do it once a week, twice if I’m feeling really good. Sometimes I don’t always have the time to do everything from scratch, so this time I cheated. The raspberry cheesecake is for my mother’s birthday today. I am making a point to make her favorite cheesecake. Hope she likes it. As for me everyday can be a golden girls day! Me and three of my friends at work love Cheesecake, Golden Girls, and solving problems over food with each other.
Hi Ed, you can never go wrong with this recipe! I have never tried making a raspberry cheesecake, but it sounds delicious. I am sure your mother will love it! What I love about cheesecake is your options are endless on how you want to customize it, that is where the real fun comes in. Good luck with your raspberry cheesecake and thanks for watching!
Samantha Brown I just used the raspberries to garnish it. I asked my mother if she wanted them fresh or if she wanted them mixed into the cake and she said she preferred fresh so I did it that way. She said that was best cake she had in a long time. My sister bought a cake and gave it to her on her birthday Saturday, I would have brought her cake to her then as well but I was so tired and drained from work Thursday, working the night shift really messes with your sleep pattern and a lot of us are having trouble with our sleep schedules, that I laid down at three on Saturday afternoon and didn’t wake up till 6:00 in the evening. So I texted mom telling her she would get her cake from me on Sunday.
I usually make no-bake cheesecakes, but I've also made real ones as well. But I HATE making the crust. I'm so glad I saw this video. I have so many people wanting cheesecakes (my side hustle outside of work), that using pre-made crust will definitely be a time saver for me. Thanks
Demonic Sinn Hi Demonic, thanks for watching. I am glad you enjoyed the video, I love this recipe myself. It is definitely a time saver with purchasing the crust already made and it taste just as good!
i did this over the weekend, i used white sugar it was delicious I just put fresh fruit on top. Going to make with brown sugar next! Thank you it is so easy Thank you!
Thank you. As a fellow Canadian Wal-Mart shopper buying redi-made pie crusts, you are a great inspiration. As home for co-vid 19, I felt I wanted to try something in the kitchen and this will be it. You are real and genuine, using the same tools and tech most normal people have - you don't have one of these "TV chef" style kitchens with zillion dollar tech. Lol. So it's same as what I got and will be doing. Fantastic recommendation on the chocolate swirls. I have seen that on some cheesecakes and had no idea that's how they did it. Amazing! Thank you. I'll let you know how mine turned out. :)
Hi Scotty, thanks so much for the comment! I know cheesecake is a favourite dessert for many, and I wanted to share this one with people like yourself. I am definitely no TV baking/cooking chef (and will never be), but I enjoy sharing recipes that I make in my kitchen. The swirls honestly look awesome, and is so easy to do! Yes, please let me know how your cheesecakes turn out. Happy baking!
I just wrote down what i need and i will be heading over to the store right now and i will do it, i have 3 daughters and a husband that love cheesecakes and well then let do dis 😊 i will let you know how it tirn out. Thank you
Let me just say... I was 2+years late,,,, but this recipe is soooo good, sorry to say I will never change it!!! Thank you so so much! God Bless You and your Family
Love this recipe, make it for my apartment manager all the time! Of course I have to make one for myself as well when I do! Super easy, saved in my favorites!
Thank you so much for posting this Samantha. Your direction in describing the steps is excellent and the result looks fantastic. I also use store brand products in my cooking. They're inexpensive and their quality is fine. I will be making these for the holidays. Again, thank you so much for sharing and I hope you & your family have a wonderful holiday season!
Hi. D.R., thanks so much for watching! I am so glad to hear that you found my video very helpful. Yes, most in-store products are great for cooking and baking. Good luck with your cheesecakes, and thank you for the wish. Happy Holidays to you too!
Thanks so much. Need to make a quick gluten free cheesecake for my daughter for Thanksgiving tomorrow. Really appreciate your easy to follow instructions with a beautiful end result. Can’t wait to make this today!
thanks! was trying to find out if i could use my store bought graham cracker crusts with my regular cheesecake recipe....looks like it should work out fine!

Hi Samantha! As a beginner cook, I had a craving for cheesecake and your recipe was so easy to follow! The ingredient list wasn't overwhelming at all, and the results turned out great. I made a chocolate chip cheesecake, and after a successful batch, I am now trying to make a raspberry cheesecake. Thank you again for the great video!
Hi Neepa, i'm so glad to hear that your chocolate chip cheesecake came out well! This is recipe is so simple and very straightforward to follow. Yum, raspberry cheesecake sounds awesome. Happy baking :)

My initial thought was to break them up and reuse them in a springform pan, but then a little light went off!! (Use them this way!) Just one (hopefully helpful) comment on the cracking. If you slightly undercook it and let it cool down for a bit in the oven with the door ajar, that should take care of it. (Cracking is only decorative. It doesn't effect the taste and you can cover it up with toppings.) Great job!
Hi Noemi, if you buy an already made gram cracker crust (what I used in the video), you will not need to do anything to it. Just pour the batter in and pop it in the oven once it is pre-heated.
Hi Kathy, in this video, I bought an already made gram cracker crust from Wal-Mart. It says on the package that it is 170 grams, which works out roughly to be 6 oz. If anything, you can just make more of the batter and you should be fine.
Honestly I was looking for the recipe for a cheesecake and every other video wanted me to make my own crust and I'm glad I found this vid:)
Glad that I could help, Jazmin. :)
jazmin rocha come on crust takes 4 minutes to prep 15 minutes in oven it’s way better. Don’t be lazy.

Hi Samantha! Just a quick question I didn’t see on the comments, if we only cook 1, what temperature do you suggest? Love your recipe!

What size pie crusts are they? I noticed they cracked, can u put in a shallow water bath to prevent that from happening.
Hi Debbie - I do not recall the pie crust stating a size. I bought the Great Value crust from Walmart -- they only have one size. And you are welcome to put the pie om a water bath.
Hello for the egg is it the yolk only or whole egg?thank you
Hello -- it's the whole egg.
Hi it was helpful but what was the lemon juice exactly for?
Hi Delia, I am glad you found this helpful. As we know eggs are raw, by using the lemon juice it cuts away the rawness and decreases the chances of salmonella. Using the lemon juice is optional, but it is something I tend to use when baking with eggs. I hope this helps.

I actually add extra lemon juice and not add vanilla altogether for that slight tart taste. It is amazing! Thank you for the recipe Samantha!

Great video. I'm sure it's absolutely delicious! I'm going to make a "turtle" cheesecake for my son's birthday. I couldn't find chocolate graham cracker crumbs, so I bought 2 (chocolate) crusts. Hi Maria, yes, that does sound like a great idea. This recipe can easily be customized to your baking needs. And thank you very much for the tip. :)
This looks awesome how did the taste turn out ???? Both topping I seen were outstanding!
Jason Smith hi Jason, both cheesecakes are delicious!
Do I need to prebaked the pie crust with butter or can I just pour the cheesecake mix in there with it
Hi Noemi, if you buy an already made gram cracker crust (what I used in the video), you will not need to do anything to it. Just pour the batter in and pop it in the oven once it is pre-heated.
Quick question is the sugar brown sugar or granulate sugar because I see the video it looks like brown sugar
Hi Sophia, you can use either brown or granulated sugar.
I made your recipe my kids loved it
Hi Jessie - glad to hear your family enjoyed this recipe!
I want to use the recipe in the video description but which size pan of crust did you use? I only have the 9oz pan at the moment.
Hi Kathy, in this video, I bought an already made gram cracker crust from Wal-Mart. It says on the package that it is 170 grams, which works out roughly to be 6 oz. If anything, you can just make more of the batter and you should be fine.
wow nice will try it for a cooking class
