The vicissitudes of the staff of a special Manhattan night court form the backbone of this television series. Among funny and colorful criminals, the very young judge Harry T. Stone (Harry Anderson), will demonstrate great intelligence and humanity, using effective but unorthodox methods to administer justice. Next to him stand out the figures of Deputy District Attorney Dan Fielding (John Larroquette, winner of 4 consecutive Emmys), cynic, careerist, male chauvinist and womanizer; and the usher "Buffalo" Shannon (Richard Moll), a giant with a soft heart and a simple mind.
