I love that they're doing stuff like this. Maybe sometimes they think about how while they still have it, another 20 years and they'll be like 80. If you're young and reading this, know that 20 years will go by in the blink of an eye. Hell, it's been nearly 40 since they played this stage apparently. Living it up now while they can and doing it right. I bet this was so fun and weird for them to do.
I couldn't help but get a little emotional at the intro. Then James started singing and I teared up. Man, it's so great to see and hear them play in front of a live crowd again
Yeahhh !!! Metallica 2021 been trying to see them live since I was 13 I’m 27 now I have muscular dystrophy an cerebral palsy both it’s my dream to meet them or see them tried several times to get tickets to there Florida shows but they are all always sold out tried even for this one coming in November
Saw them at the same venue when it was still called The Caberet Metro in the 80's with Cliff on bass, still remember it like it was yesterday, saw many bands cut their teeth at this venue, memories for a lifetime, thanks to all those bands and rest in peace to all that have gone!!
I hopped onto a work call via phone so I could stand in this line. Thank the metal gods I was there in time because I had a night I'll never forget with the Metal Militia
Great work guys!!! you all sound great!!! keep up the great work!!! Been a fan since the very beginning No life till Leather. Time fly's damn. Seen all the lineups live. Miss my youth and Metallica's youth days but as a lifelong fan you ALL sound great!!!!
i saw them live back in 1992 ya know.. when they were still bad ass! well they are old now with nothin to prove!! lol i laff now cuz back then even tho most of u were'nt born yet! we were so torn cause there was a new evil that took the stage buy storm!! my friend came over and said DUDE!! put this shirt on i said ok but.. what ..... i said panteraa!!! who are they !! he said u godda hear this man!! the rest was history. but no matter what i will always have a soft spot for these guys they got us all through some tuff times as kids growing up back then. now kids type in metallica one jammin version... thats the metallica i know and the metallica you guys missed!
i was born in 2006 (gen z unfortunately), seeing them in their prime must’ve been an awesome experience. but i’m 15 and seeing them for a second time in november so i’m not complaining
How dare anyone be talking during this! It's an opportunity of a lifetime to see such a huge band playing at an intimate venue. Those people should enjoy the moment and shut the hell up. Total disrespect. Of course I'm not surprised. The last pre-Covid concert I was lucky to get tickets to was Chris and Rich Robinson's limited acoustic show in Feb 2020. Same thing, a-holes talking...if you want to drink to some music, grab a beer and put on the CD in your living room and stop ruining concerts for those of us who cherish how special live music is. Anyway, enough ranting, Epic and awesome!!!!!

Wtf

@@nothingman- they meant they could imagine cliff being there as if it were '83 again. The last time they played at Metro was in 1983

Would love to see Metallica or any “big band” in a little club like this. Was it invite only?
It was announced on Twitter last minute Monday morning and a long line formed right away

Wow, just wow!!!!! So upset I couldn’t have been there!!!!
So. Frickin'. Talented.
THANKS FOR POSTING
I’m not sure if it’s the same stage but if so dang it looks like there’s so much more room on the stage than their ‘83 performance
I believe they were the support act in '83 as well, so they would have been playing in front of the headliners backlined gear.
Kirk played his first show with Metallica on this stage in 1983
Thanks for sharing
you're right about Wesley!
'kirked the shit' out of that solo
Awesome!!
I am beyond disappointed that I did not get to go see this show. Maybe next time you guys could give me a call please and thanks
As Cliff would say Absomotherfuckingloutley! 🤘
Who are these guys? Man, they rock. I’ll bet they sell tons of albums and sell out all their shows.
I truly wish I was there to see this :(
que hermosa sinfonía de guitarras!!!! lml
5:01 I was there…this video can’t do it justice
Oh my fucking god!!! What a fucking performance
If you can raise Wesley Willis from the dead and get him to the show...then yes...he would probably say is was a great show....and maybe headbutt you.
This is amazing but for the love of god put down the camera phones and watch the show! Except for the guy filming, you're good LOL!
Bro, they don't look liked they aged, so does their performance!
What a blessed man this is
"James, you say 'yeah' too much."
"Okay, I'll throw a 'no' or 10 into this one."
$20 ticket?! Wow
lets see which phone should i watch it threw in the audience the one on the left or the one on the right decisions decisions
JESUS!!!
5:51 '83 Hetfield right there
I would give my right arm to be in the back row!!
Fucking Awesome
James guitar is a foot higher up than it used to be.
Did they play anesthesia (pulling teeth) it would be great if they played it.
They did not.
A surprise club gig. To hell with everyone who says these guys forgot where they came from.
Best
Great video. Wish I would have heard about it. What did you use to record this?

Back in the day people never talked during the show.
they dont need the crab for this song.or for that whole damn album
Everyone sounds great here, Lars has seemed to improve a lot as well
Why did you allow Rob to play bass on this track? Asking for my friend Jason
To many phones in the crowd. These people are front row! And can't just take in the moment
🤘🏼👊🏼
Woah was this a riot fest after show?!?!? I need info.
WHO MIXED THE SHOW.....DID BIG MICK MAKE IT ACROSS THE POND?
Has Lars been practicing those kickdrums or what?!
Anyone know how much the tickets cost for this and how many people were there?
It was $20 and the venue has 1,100 capacity. Not sure of the exact number of people there.
Am I the only person who thinks Clay from SOA looks kinda like james?!
All I gotta say is "jelly"
On a Monday?
Wtf Kirk doing Jason’s vocal harmony 😂?!
Oh so that's how it sounds with a bass.
Holy Hetfuck!
Why is Rob there? Doesnt he know that there's not supposed to be any bass on that song
