YAY, Blood Red Skies! Such a brilliant game, happy to see it on the table!
I've added steel washers to the bottom of the flight bases held in place by neodymium magnets. I find the basic models/stands to be so lightweight as to be too easy to nudge during play. The extra weight settles them down quite a bit!

Warlord keeps putting out amazing games!
This game so needs foam smoke markers for hit planes that can go on wings/tails/stands!
@15:18 it was not a valid shot while both planes had the same advantage level. Also you had so many opportunities for tailing with the 180° burn advantage option, which was missed several times.
I'll be trying out the Combined Arms game as a boardgame next club meet, interested to see how it plays.
Maybe it'll generate some interest in some of the Warlord Games systems I have forces for.
BRS is a great game, Warlord should push it more
It is disappointing that it has been priced a bit too high and also the lack of decals for the more recent releases like the ME262 etc. The airfix version was a pointless distraction that they cannot even give away.

The Midway starter set is the single most atrocious wargame starterbox ive opened...
This is a true gem of a game, the ruleset is nothing less of fantastic...It just needs components and support to match and it would have been a huge hit, im sure of it.
A big starter with hard plastic planes, a hardcover all-including rulebook with lots of art and statistics and diagrams of various WWII planes, and packed neatly into a beautiful box.
Warlords neglect will be the death of this game.
@@-Markus- The Battle of Britain starter set had some badly warped wings on both the Spitfires and ME109's. Later releases seem to have solved this. The cardboard quality varies from good to paper thin. Why Warlord let some of the Ace expansions like Galland go out of print is beyond me. It is the silly pricing that stops me having a much bigger collection of BRS planes, but I have enough to enjoy the game.
Aircraft don't move when they overlap, I think. The 'offending' aircraft must stop short (or long) if it can, else it goes just long but doesn't get a Pilot action as it 'overshoots' (so it can't fire, maneuver or climb that turn). Also you can only shoot at an aircraft at a lower advantage state (unless responding to being shot at head on).
ETA - Sorry, not meaning to be a nitpicker, I'm just boning up on rules because I'm running BRS at a con next weekend!
I've got the Deep Cut aerial mat (farmlands) and it's a blast to play BRS on!
at 14:06 both planes with advantage shoot at each other... Was this a mistake? because rules state that you have to be at a higher advantage to be able to shoot. Or was this allowed because it was head on?

Probably looks great in real life but not so good on camera.
I actually painted my game markers silver so they would stand out on my air war mat (we would lose sight of the 'gold' ones in the clutter!). The planes look fine in RL as the stands help them stand out.
