  • In episode 9 of ‘Car, Shops & Collections’ we take a ride in a 1968 Camaro SS!
    Steve Hite is the owner of this wicked FIRST GENERATION Camaro. Steve originally owned a 1968 Camaro when he was a teenager. He had it for 10 years, then Life and kids happen so he sold it. Once the kids were grown and out of the house he got back in the game with another 1968 Camaro SS.

    No hideaway headlights? That makes it an RS. Gorgeous car nonetheless

      Yep, but in 55 years, who know what might have happened to them. Back in the 70s and 80s we would rip non-functioning stuff out because these cars were basically a dime a dozen and we didn't care. I think I removed at least 3 or 4 AC units from cars. Two of them from 68 and 69 GTO convertibles. And considering how heavily modded this car is, I'm not surprised the front end has been changed up.

    Sweet Ride. That color (metal flakes) on the RS/SS reminds me of a (toy car) Hot wheel car from the 70s. Still collecting scale (in my 50s) muscle cars. Johnny lightning are the best. One of these days I'll get my dream ride 69 Camaro. Have a 2015 SS Camaro/80 Z-28.

    Did anyone else notice that this 1968 Camaro has a standard Camaro front end (no hideaway headlights) and a rally sport rear end 🤔 ?
