Organic solar cells by infinityPV - fast roll-to-roll (R2R) printing & coating

Flexible organic solar cells (OPV) made by infinityPV www.infinityPV.com are fabricated using optimized roll-to-roll (R2R) printing and coating methods. The infinityPV Flextrode (ITO-free) is used as transparent electrode, while infinityPV ZnO is used as electron transport layer (ETL). All fabrication steps of the organic / polymer solar cells are made under ambient conditions and no vacuum or evaporation is used.

did you figure out why you have dewetting spots of active layer visible on video?

good eyes! Probably some inhomogeneities on the surface of the substrate. ... but we do not see a drop in efficiencies due to this.

thx. by inhomogeneity you mean differences in surface energy or layer (ZnO) deposition nouniformity? do you see impurities or gels in the middle of the spots? you may not see a drop of efficiency as there is still thin layer covering the spots, however it depends on the method that you apply for top electrode. e.g. screen printing may introduce shunts and shunts burning could be an additional step that need to be introduced to the process to bring modules back to life... All the best!!!
