‘Voice is flawed, built on lies’: Jacinta Price slams Labor’s referendum

  • Indigenous Australians Shadow Minister Jacinta Nampijinpa Price says the Labor’s Voice to Parliament is “flawed” and is “built on lies”.
Jacinta Nampijinpa Price addressed the National Press Club Thursday afternoon, detailing why she is against the Voice referendum and explained why the referendum would only further "divide the nation”.
“The first lie that underpins the Voice is that Indigenous Australians do not have a voice,” Ms Price said at the National Press Club on Thursday.
“We’ve been told by the Indigenous minister for Indigenous Australians that Indigenous people do not get a say on policies or the decisions being made on our behalf.
“Our most marginalised deserve better than this; they deserve the truth, the unvarnished, untainted and yes maybe unpalatable to some people, truth.”

I trust and admire Jacinta Price, she speaks for all Australians, for her ancestors and for mine, I’m a 5th generation Australian with white skin but regardless of needing to cover my skin up  I still love our sun burnt Country.
the “4 Billion Dollar annual Aboriginal Industry” is chock full of ill-informed, urban myth-makers and illusionists, this caste of urgers and deluded pretenders giving rise to the patronising insistence on the uniqueness of ‘Aboriginal knowledge’ about everything from agriculture and fish farms (a lá Bruce Pascoe), water and fire management (a lá ‘cultural burning’) to Aboriginal ‘art’, ‘fashion’ and even ‘astronomy’, and not to mention Ernie Dingo and Richard Walley’s thoroughly overdone ‘Welcome to Country”. This is mostly snake oil fakery, an effort to convince contemporary Australians that the Aborigines of old were something they clearly never were.
Unfortunately, much of what passes for Aboriginal ‘culture’ today is an invention of the last 50 years.
Fortunately, much authentic Aboriginal culture of the past has vanished. The gruesome initiations, genital mutilation, inflicted cicatrices (Scars), burns, ritual spearing’s, sorcery and payback murders have by and large disappeared.

My Wife and I were in the right place and right time to catch Senator Price speaking at the Press Club. For the very first time in The Voice Campaign, here was someone speaking from the heart on a topic she was totally immersed in. Given the the combined efforts of Ms. Langton and Ms. Burney they could not hold a candle to her. We are in our late 70’s and have been struggling with disinformation and misinformation. Senator Price was bringing up questions we had been struggling with, and unlike the other two, was offering explanations. The National Press Club address can be seen on the ABC’ site iView, Aunty finally got something right.

The truth is the Labor /green and sadly the LNP also have become just UN puppets since their first treason 49 years ago, the VOICE is just part of the Globalist MONSTERS divide and conquer to steal our freedoms while they creat their GREAT BRESET by 2030..

49 years of just being WEF=WHO=UN Puppets since 1975 when Labor PM Gough Whitlam agreed to the UN Lima agreement to sacrifice 30% of our industries and the 30% of Aussie jobs to help third world countries like China prosper! Since that first treasonous act, every Labor and LNP PM continue the treason that Gough began, these UN Puppet TRAITORS impose every unelected UN agenda onto the Australian people since then! UN agenda 21, UN Rio agreement, in 2015 UN agenda 2030 that was LNP PM Malcolm Turncoat, and LNPs Julie Bishop, Julie now has a plum job at the UN? Gosh Julie, you are so lucky.
The Dictionary defines TREASON; “Treason” is when a person acts against his/ her country. ... A treasonous person is called a TRAITOR! Outside the field of law, the word "traitor" can be used to describe a person who betrays a group to which he or she belongs!

Awesome speech Jacinta, totally nailed it! The previous bureaucracy set up to help indigenous people had no checks and balances. It was opened to abuse and not fit for purpose. There was plenty of funding, but similar to a lot of charities, once you take wages and overheads out there's very little left. A select few at the top seem to benefit, while the people that need the help in remote communities get nothing. Sir Thomas Playford had very few staff, used public transport and ran south Australia like a clock. Now you have 100's of bureaucrats that achieve less and cost more! Jacinta calls it as she sees it. She is a fantastic representative for her people.

Thank you Jacinta Nampijinpa Price for my children’s futures, and the possibility of their growing up in a better Australia, a unified non-discriminatory, evenhanded nation. One of equality, egalitarianism, fairness, justness, and equitability.
It is time for a national reconsideration on the broad rights and obligations of all Australians in Australia, and a re-evaluation of the current preferential treatment, and actions towards Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander’s. Australia must embrace once again national equality, egalitarianism, fairness, justness, and equitability. And put an end to narrow-minded, backwards, bigoted, racist, discriminatory, prejudiced, unfair, and divisive Australia.

What summed up the divisive nature of the Voice to me was watching the end of the full address when the MC asked people to thank Senator Price for coming. Most people stood up and clapped, but 2 younger female journalists (one or both are from ABC from memory) stayed seated and didn't clap.
Even if you don't agree with the speaker, you at least have the decency to give a half hearted clap of appreciation for the speaker attending. That was just petulant, childish and unprofessional - I hope somebody names and shames them, because that is the sort of divisive and bias behaviour that has infested the media. Also interesting to note the absence of Laura Tingle who normally does MC duties as the President of the Press Club, but its hard to be politically biased and mock articulate guests like Jacinta when they tell the cold hard facts that you can't refute.

Thanks Jacinta. I agree that listening to the "TRUTH" is never the strength of Politicians. Totally agree that we should not have double systems of governance, and separate the indigenous people. However, our PM Anthony Albananese is genuine in giving extra strength to the first nation in speaking in Parliament, because otherwise you are outnumbered. More elected MPs to express the opinions and prioritise the concerns of the indigenous people in Parliament is ideal; but not forthcoming right now due to the current electorates.

    Let's break this down:
We are voting on a proposal to establish something called a "Voice". The Constitutional amendment says "there shall be a body, to be called the...Voice" for which "the Parliament shall...have power to make laws...including its composition, functions, powers and procedures.”
So we will be voting for a "blank cheque", a mysterious entity that doesn't have a defined composition, function, power or procedure!!...Or cost!! All to be determined later.
It doesn't matter if you support indigenous rights or not, NOBODY should be voting for something that is as vague as that.
