The final sequence was beautifully done. So many paths lead you to the same destination, Door is too powerful for just one person to stop him, we’ll need a bigger team.
Hearing James McCaffreys voice notes at the end make me believe that Alex Casey was supposed to be in this DLC but had to be removed either out of respect or out of lack of voice lines
There are totally different paths you can take, but the ending is always the same. I didn't choose Jesse when given the chance to focus on and the branch leads you to the world tree/Odin secrets revelations. You get to keep your eye though. 😊
Ffs just spent 20 minutes trying to ‘investigate the forest’
Having just played Quantum Break if they don't make QB2 I feel like this is the closest we'd get to it, with so many references (you'll come back for me, door / hatch, time travel and multiple world theories etc.).
this is just, all 3 episodes, amazing.. no studio does something like this, its fantastic..
After I used the tv the first i saw was investigate the forest goal, so i looked all over the forest for a new pathway and wasted my time. Every single dlc the game finds a way to waste your time by giving you the wrong impression to progress.
Time breaker lol
This one based on "The Twilght Zone".
I fkn hate the very inception of this genre because this episode in the fkn hotel has driven me mad.
Its not working for me
This little fake phantom loop is the worst of its inception.
Terrible dlc
Thanks for the video but man these episodes are total garbage
the third one is really good, but the first 2 ones are complete fillers, they were made with the sole purpose of making some extra cash
@hairybizrat2078 huge dissapointment.
@@ntgreckless Strange take, but if you're not a fan of Alan Wake I'd see why you'd think that. There are tons of massive story changing reveals in the episodes, but you'd only find them if you're willing to look at every useless object and read. Saying they were made exclusively for money when they pretty heavily contribute to the story is strange.
@@solidspooks1290 i couldn't see how the first two episodes impacted on the story, but the last one definetly did. The reason why i say "it was only made for money" was because remedy is not in a good shape financially, they sold less than they wanted with alan wake 2, wich was supposed to be their biggest game ever.
@@ntgreckless The announcement they made to their investors 4 months ago makes them sound like they're in a pretty good financial place. As for the first two episodes. Episode 1 shows us what Rose has been seeing ever since she was attacked in AW1. At the end of AW2 she claimed she was "getting messages" from Alan, but now we know that her delusions were giving her visions. Episode 2 alludes towards Control 2 which is on the horizon, with references to Dr.Darling and what he's up to. I'm sure there's a lot that I missed in episode 2 since I spend way more time in 1 and 3, but they're the furthest thing from cash grabs. Even if 1 and 2 were, episode 3 has some of the biggest lore implications of the entire series. I wasn't expecting all 3 of them to be 100% substantial in every moment, Night Springs even by Alan's own admittance is just a silly TV show he briefly wrote for. I don't see why them being inconsequential would be bad, that's the point. Even then, they aren't inconsequential.
At the end of the day, there's no such thing as a franchise that's not made for money. The difference between COD and Alan Wake is that COD is made because it makes money, Remedy makes games because they have a story they want to tell. I don't really care if they have to throw out a side gig or two to stay floating. Better to fund Remedy than these other soulless companies which drop completely useless DLC meant to drain your wallet, and do nothing else for you.
