There are either problems in translation or Maurizio's got his fact wrong. Two main electric induction engines each at 29700 HP, or 22.2 MW, gives a total of 44-45 MW. Plus there's six thrusters for a total of about 20 MW, and I'm assuming those are electric too. However, he states that there are 5 onboard diesel generators producing 7 MW of power, for the whole ship. That's not nearly enough. That must be only for ship services and propulsion is its own entity.

Humanity is destroying the planet with using it resources for useless things like these... building and sailing these ships uses amazing levels of energy and materials.
