Miles Accidentally Creates The Spot | Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse Bagel Guy Explained

One of the reasons why The Spot actually starts to become a really interesting villain in Across the Spider-verse, is his ties to Miles Morales and the way tht this is all personal for him. The Spot doesn’t start off seeking out Miles, but once they meet he’s quick to remind Miles that Miles was actually the one who created the Spot, in the original Into the Spider-Verse movie. During that movie we saw Miles and Peter trying to get something from an Alchemx Lab in Universe 42, where they eventually have a bit of a fight against that universes Doctor Octopus, however in the middle of the scramble as Miles is escaping he hits a man named Dr. Jonathan Ohnn with a bagel right in the face. Later in the first movie when Miles blows up the giant Super Collider, Dr. Ohnn is in the lab trying to grab a piece of tech and stop the collider failure however everything goes up in smoke anyway and the piece that he was holding fuses with his body in a strange way ultimately covering him in a spots that he can use to open portals in space and time that even travel to other dimensions, making this Villain’s existence all Miles’ fault, but it goes both ways.

miles wasn’t IN universe 42, the spider that bit him was from 42 which the spot teleported to universe 1610(mile’s universe) when he was still a normal scientist, which then bit miles to make him spider-man

Spot is his own creator. Miles has literally nothing to do with the spot being made. Spot brought the spider to miles dimension, he went to take some tech during the fight, and he chose to work for the kingpin.

Because Miles was overriding the Collider, Spot got inside of it and turned into The Spot, so yes Miles did create Spot, and I assume none of you watched the movie because Spot even said it himself to Miles that he created hin
@LuckClover spot chose to try and steal the collider part, chose to work on the collider, chose to work for kingpin, chose to stay behind insted of running. Miles had nothing to do with any of that. It's spots own greed that made him into what he is. Also villans tend to blame a lot of their situation on whoever the hero is because it's easier to do than admit your a product of your own actions

I can honestly see the spot turning good and being able to repair whatever multiversal damage miles causes in the next film.
If Miles had taken The Spot seriously and actually treated him accordingly, he probably would have never had the motivation to become a violation against nature.

I love how the bagel was a funny easter egg added in the movie as a joke for the directors, but i love how it made a bit of small lore inside it, the fact they used the butterfly effect with a bagel (butterfly effect: The Butterfly Effect is a phenomenon that refers to the idea that small, seemingly insignificant events can have large and unforeseen consequences over time.
