Idea for Multiplayer Monday: you race with destructible cars and everyone mounts a fixed spudgun pointed forwards. That way being last is the safest for most of the race, but of course you need to get in front of everyone else at some point to win, thus exposing yourself to their spudguns. I don't remember you doing that kind of a race, so hopefully you'll find this idea worth using at some point :D

I think the spuds shooting all at once is like an impact wrench and might be better for power, but ripple being more even might be better for top speed. I'm thinking of like a sawtooth equation where the slope after the tooth is steeper the faster you go.

In addition, I feel like the ripple is better for going up hill as the continuous application of force will help prevent roll back while the all at once leaves time to slow down.
@@notbob555 Yes, that is similar to what I meant to say with the saw tooth thing. When going up hill you would modify the slope to be steeper because the minimum speed is less than 0. Since the top speed on the hill is lower you should turn the ripple on to smooth it out since each potato salvo is like 1 tooth on the graph. To find the actual fastest way you would have to integrate it, but based off my experience with scrap mechanic physics I would expect smoother is better.
Ye, its like pressing the gas pedal every few seconds for a burst of speed. Instead of holding it down for contuinous speed

Speaking of spudguns, i found a glitch, if you switch between your hand held spudgun and any other item rapidly, and shot every time you switch to the spudgun, its like a minigun :D

Kan, the ripple mode was faster cause there were more shots per second. The all at once had more power cause there were more spud guns per stroke.

What if you had metal plates attached to the wheels then had spudguns shooting the plates to provide forward propulsion? Dont know if it would even work but I think it would be hilarious.
it won't, as in newton's third law of motion, he states that every action has an equal and opposite reaction, the concept in the video worked as the 2 forces were acting on 2 different objects. In your case, the same object will be experiencing both the action and the reaction forces on the same object, so they will cancel each other out. Hence, the car won't move.
It did work in an earlier version, but it was patched out. Look at Scrapman's spud gun update videos for more info.
Hes saying the spud guns will make the plates that are on the wheel spin with the wheel.
Basically 4 plates on each end of a wheel being pushed by spud guns to go to the next plate and so on.

Nvm i know what your saying but what if you had suspension to lower the push the spud guns have on the vehicle. Would the push on the plates be the same?

What do you think about a multiplayer relay race? Having 3 - 4 vehicles per person, using existing creations from multiplayer Monday’s to traverse different map segments
You could do a video where you show different methods of spudgun intervals and which one is faster
You should try this with cannons. It's mostly the same, but with the added risk of destroying either yourself of the other vehicle.

That second race was sooo intense
U should do either spud gun flyers using drag reducers or do spud cars again but with distractible blocks to make it slightly more competitive
You could do one of those with Kosmo and Dapper together but instead of a car, you'd do a Spud powered boat race.
in the ripple, all the time, the same amount of spuds(5 spuds in every 2 ticks) are firing which creates a constant speed. it is because of the cancelation of acceleration(almost cancellation) by the frictional force.
in the other mode(I like to call it 'punch'), all of the spuds are fired at the same time(all 10 every 4 ticks), although the time taken within each fire is almost double, the collective force is much higher than the frictional force which causes an un-continuous acceleration which increases the speed of the car.
edit: this is because the counterforce of friction only comes into effect when the force due to spud guns tries to push the car forward and not all the time(or when the car has the momentum and is going forwards on its own). So, in the case of ripple, the constant force decided in the physics of the game by the game developers comes into play which reduces the acceleration by the 5 spuds which make the speed constant. in case of punch, it creates an acceleration

Video idea: I don't think this would be a good race idea but I thought maybe you would like it.
Call the video "Max Speed Challenge" and follow these steps
1. Make a long, aerodynamic car made of cardboard
2. Add a drag reducer block
3. Add a bunch of thrusters (max, of course)
4. Use 4 electric engines for all 4 wheels
5. Put everything on a switch
6. Make a map with a giant and tall ramp to go down
7. Begin going down the ramp, turn on the with, and watch the magic happen

You should try to combine the 2 vehicles together at the end for a little challenge for a video
Maybe you could provide a basic torque engine template w/ pistons and stuff and see who could make a more efficient torque powered vehicle. Just make a course full of really sheer cliffs and stuff and see who can climb it better. No thrusters ofc
Maybe a race on ice blocks, vehicles without wheels, suspension glitch, only thrusters: 2 for forward, 1 for reverse 2 or 4 for steering?

Yes absolutely multiplayer is broken. However if anyone ever finds themself and their friend not being in the same spot or seeing the same things i know how to fix it. Me and my sister were playing scrap mechanic building a treefort and we would constantly see eachother on the ground running in circles painting the air. How we fixed this was placing down a small tower of blocks breaking the bottom as to disconnect it from the ground and using a large explosive. It worked every time but i do hope that they fix multiplayer because it gets annoying if you play for more than an hour with this issue happening the whole time. I hope this helped some poeple with their multiplayer problems.

Kan, ripple mode is good for flats and downhill and normal is for up hill because you need more power at once while with the ripple you can have a constant but weaker force.
I just noticed that the difference between the ripple mode and nOn ripple mode is like the difference between gasoline and diesel engine, so basicly ripple mode have more horsepower but less torque (more speed but less acceleration), but the nOn ripple mode have less horsepower but more torque (less speed but more acceleration) did you noticed the same? High five 🖐

If i had a pc, bought scrapmechanic and was in a noob v pro series i would expeeiment with the logic blocks/technical stuff first while building for aesthetics like scrapman said "Functionality first, looks second" but the last stretch at the and tho that would've been me (the guy button mashing)
