Similarly, my cousin wrote the software for British Airways online ticketing system program. Shortly after he was made redundant. That was a few years ago!

Credit card points and hotel rewards are the way to go. In the last 6 months, my wife and I have taken a 3 week road trips from Colorado to Nashville, to Ashville, to Myrtle Beach to Charleston, to Amelia Island, Daytona Beach and back to Colorado (5000+ miles), a 30 day road trip from Colorado to Panama City Beach, to Orlando, to St. Petersburg, to Fort Myers, to For t Lauderdale, back to Orlando and then Panama City Beach and back to Colorado (5000+ miles) and just recently a two week trip to Colorado National Monument, St. George, UT, Las Vegas, Tucson, White Sands National Park and back to Colorado (2800 miles) all without paying anything for lodging. Part of this was in our time share that we have to pay monthly maintenance for if we use it or not, but there were at least 13 hotel stays along the routes.

Years ago I worked in sales for the Hilton, and the verbiage to use in order to get the cheapest rate was by asking for "the best available rate." Sounds simple but was really a thing in the industry.

Not catching the triple dipping. If you use your points card to book the room and get a better rate, great. But if they are refunding you money back to the points card you used, they just subtract those points, that you earned, from the refund. So......how are you triple dipping exactly?
I have repeatedly tried signing up for BookingCredits but I never receive a confirmation email to accept my sign in info. Can you help??
