Yes, Sofia and generally Bulgarian cities and towns tend to have not only enormous parks but also smaller gardens and just trees everywhere. In addition to the beauty in all seasons, in the summer heat they make a huge difference.
Bulgaria requires by law that every building has to have a certain amount of plants and greenery. Thats why our cities are this green. I think Sofia was around 14th place for the greenest capitals in the EU.
