Drone Footage of Fagradalsfjall Volcano in Iceland

- Iceland has always been one of my favorite countries to visit. When I saw that a volcano erupted a couple of months ago I knew I had to visit and bring both of the drones. The wind was too strong for the FPV drone so most of the footage is with the Mavic 2 Pro.

June 9th and 15th. The first time I went the path was open. The second day I was only able to visit the lava field unfortunately!

@@AnthonyTori so at 2:24, that could be the top of the original vent (chatgroup's "Bob") at bottom of picture immediately to the left of the lava flow, distinguishable by its colour. I'm guessing it was overrun finally and buried towards the end of June.
@@RSimpkinuk57 I think you're right. I've seen so many videos after I visited and the differences are fascinating. That's why I already want to go back.

Amazing footage!!! Hats off... Did you check any apps like UAV forecast or Weather by Tomorrow for flying conditions, or just took the risk?
I was only in Iceland for a week so I took the risk. It was too windy to fly the FPV drone unfortunately but I'm hoping to go back in September.

did it have a cave in yesterday then as the only place the lava was coming out was a hole at the bottom right-hand side?

What's happening in Natthagi valley?
From what I've seen, it continues to fill with lava. Once full, it can overflow and reach the ocean. I'd definitely like to go back and watch that happen!
Amazing footage, though, i prefer cool places... this might just be awe inspiring location, and boiling affect visuals of the bright colors are unreal. 👦🏻👍🏻🏞🗻🗻
I'm more of a mountain/cool person myself so you'd love Iceland. I typically go to visit the Highlands, but couldn't pass up seeing an active volcano!
@@AnthonyTori Yeah Iceland has spectacular WaterFalls, I myself am more of the Mountains and forest, if I'm not Hiking with someone, I go free solo Climbing, often to Cascades and WaterFalls, in My Channel i have a Helmet Mounted Interactive 360VR Camera, though, won't record if I am on a hiking date with a girlfriend. I you have a new subscriber thanks for sharing, perhaps in 2 years may go to Iceland and explore the 4 or 5 waterfalls there.👦🏻👍🏻🏞🗻⛰ thanks.
