I pray in English and Arabic and speak Arabic as an American who married an Egyptian over 20 years ago. I read the Quran in English with all the multiple meanings in Arabic explained
Yes but Arabic is a unique language. Translations can not give the true meanings of the words. Also we don't want anything changed so we all pray in one language the exact same way. If not words and meanings will change and next thing you know people are using different meanings and words and then we have a million different denominations arguing about who's right or wrong. ( Which is already a issue but it'll be even worse..Sunni, Shia, Wahabi, Sufi).
Mashallah welcome! As long as you’re doing the best you can, Allah will recognize that and forgive you for any hardships you have. There are also romanizations available to help say certain things like allahu akbar for those who cannot read in Arabic. Start there so you can get used to it and memorize which will get easier everyday as you complete your salat and daily tasks throughout the day
(MashaAllah that you found the truth and came to Islam brother.) Keep reading the quran in English and try understanding the meaning of it. Ihdinas siratal mustaqim. Siratal ladhina an'amta'alaihim, ghairil maghdubi'alaihim wa lad dhallin. Aameen And try memorizing surah al Ikhlas: Bismillaah ar-Rahman ar-Raheem. Qul hu wal lahu ahad, allahus samad, lam yalid wa lam yulad, wa lam ya kul lahu kufuwan ahad. These surahs are used in prayer also try understand the meaning of it so in English. Hope this helps

I firmly believe you can’t full grasp what your saying if your just mouthing the words without knowing it’s meaning. I’m currently learning in English so I can grasp what it is I’m doing. Kinda like a flashlight in the dark. I’m using my flashlight in order to find the light switch. Allah grant me the strength and knowledge to help me in my studies
You are totally fine in doing that in my opinion, as the entire purpose of prayer is to help us become better people by remembering God and controlling ourselves against base desires. Many Muslims you will encounter pray in Arabic without understanding it, thinking gives them magical rewards. This is not to suggest that God does not listen to our prayers, but that there is a logical purpose for regular prayer. I’ve not been observing Namaz or the fast all my life, while remaining convinced of the noble Quran as the word of God. Yet after understanding the importance of prayer, I’m all for it, albeit in a decipherable language. With all due respect for the Sheikh, the meaning if the verses for prayer are not that complicated. Where we are stuck, we can always look for different translations of an Arabic word in English to help us feed our logical reasoning. To me, Islam, logic, reason and science are inseparable and complement each other. During the so called golden age of Islam, Scientific advancements were a result of Islam and not exclusively so.
I use to read Qur'an in English but after this vid now I read in Arabic cuz these r the words of Allah and they don't change thank you for teaching meme something new ❤️❤️❤️

Salaam, I understand your argument. The question that arises here is the same as the Reformation. A few verses learned might give one the essence of the faith and some of rules if they learn the translation as well. Yes translation is a corruption or dilution of the essence but it creates a benchmark to begin the process to interpret the Quran and then to learn arabic proper it embrace the full essence and consciencely submit one's wil to the faith. Assalam Walekum. Alhamdulillah. Just a different perspective from one whom is too westernised. Apologies but I had to put it out there.
I have listened to you for years and may Allah guide us both. I strongly believe that the Quran is enough for me. I do not like to read "commentary" as I know it is someones opinion of what they believe Allah s.w.t means with his ayahs. Allah tells me that some of his verses are clear and other not so clear to everyone. I follow what I understand of the book and I do not follow conjecture. I hope we can all compete in goodness and all achieve paradise by his mercy, he is indeed the most merciful. "Ya Allah(swt) save me and my family and the believers on the day of judgement from the Hellfire".
SUBHANNA ALLAH....I THINK ARABIC WILL BE THE LANGUAGE IN JANNAH...BECAUSE OF QURAAN....WHEN RECITED YOU JUST FEEL THAT YOU ARE ALREADY IN JANNAH ESPECIALLY SURATUL RAHMAAN.

Im Mexican all my life I’ve been “catholic” but not crazy in the religion as I should be but still learning about god our creator I am not even sure if I’m making sense
May Allah guide you 🤲🏼
All Allah does not make anything difficult, the language he appreciates is the intention of your heart.
This makes so much sense to me! Thank you for this clarification!!
I can't be the only one who thinks that mufti menk looks badass in these poses of the thumnails

May Allah make things easy for you brother
Alhamdulillah 🙏
All praise to Allah

You know what I love is that everyone is praying I love you in the video❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you Mufti Menk Sahab
I pray in English and Arabic and speak Arabic as an American who married an Egyptian over 20 years ago. I read the Quran in English with all the multiple meanings in Arabic explained
The Creator hears all prayers in all human languages whoever says he doesn’t is wrong
I agree
Thanks for the sharing
After meeting you at The Peninsula Hotel in Cape town , few weeks later i become a Muslim.
Ramadan Mubarak !
Jazakallahu hairen
I missed these messages 🌹
❤❤❤ prayer brother I'm new to Islam as well
I am a Muslim and pray in English as well as making my Dua in English.
I'm gonna revert to Islam, I don't know Arabic, so I can only pray and read The Holy Quran In English. What should I do?
Mashallah welcome! As long as you’re doing the best you can, Allah will recognize that and forgive you for any hardships you have. There are also romanizations available to help say certain things like allahu akbar for those who cannot read in Arabic. Start there so you can get used to it and memorize which will get easier everyday as you complete your salat and daily tasks throughout the day
(MashaAllah that you found the truth and came to Islam brother.)
Keep reading the quran in English and try understanding the meaning of it. Try memorizing surah Al fatiha in Arabic : Bismillaah ar-Rahman ar-Raheem. Al hamdu lil lahi rabbil 'alamin. Arrahmanir rahim. Maliki yawmiddin. Iyyaka na'budu wa iyyaka nasta'in. Ihdinas siratal mustaqim. Siratal ladhina an'amta'alaihim, ghairil maghdubi'alaihim wa lad dhallin. Aameen
And try memorizing surah al Ikhlas: Bismillaah ar-Rahman ar-Raheem. Qul hu wal lahu ahad, allahus samad, lam yalid wa lam yulad, wa lam ya kul lahu kufuwan ahad. These surahs are used in prayer also try understand the meaning of it so in English. Hope this helps
Mashallah brother you will come to realize more and more mericales that will improve your faith
Congratulations..do not worry about it..u should start learning in arabic but untill then u can pray how u know..cox ur a starter u should go from step by step dear.....even if i know to pray and recite quran in arabic as a non arabic muslim i have witness myself whenever i make other prayers in my language allah had answered those( especially the days i obey allah properly i notice he answers my prayers instantly)....
@@neutralobserver01 u being a non muslim reverting to islam i have to say ur very lucky and blessed..cox allah will removes all the sins you ever made from ur past from the movement you revert..just like a new born babies with no sins which makes u luckier than people who were born as muslims and a chance to start a new life...i hope u all the best insha allah..♥️
I understand what your saying thank you for helping me understand
I firmly believe you can’t full grasp what your saying if your just mouthing the words without knowing it’s meaning. I’m currently learning in English so I can grasp what it is I’m doing. Kinda like a flashlight in the dark. I’m using my flashlight in order to find the light switch.
Allah grant me the strength and knowledge to help me in my studies
مشاءالله 💕
I’ve been praying for a decent time and I didn’t know a few things I was doing wrong will Allah except my prayers and forgive me?
Very wise words.
Allah is the greatest ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Allah is greater❤❤❤
I just feel the need to convert to Islam please pray for me to remember and understand everything I am learning
Assalamualaikum brothers and sisters 🤗❤️🇧🇩
Walaikum assalam wa'rehmatullah
I use to read Qur'an in English but after this vid now I read in Arabic cuz these r the words of Allah and they don't change thank you for teaching meme something new ❤️❤️❤️
Definitely, let's make efforts of at least lmemorising and clearly pronouncing a few suras but based in Arabic for its the chosen language by Allah SWA.
Alhamdulillah 🤲🏼
Praying is communicating with your maker. How can you say things to him that u dont understand, how can the prayer be heartfelt and deep
4:36 Interesting, It's 4 25AM for me right now. I should be sleeping. But I am listening to this speech while these men on the right sleep.

If I make a dua, is it good to make it in your own native language
Allah Akbar ❤
Yes because dua is you directly asking Allah for what you desire
@@usaydh5589 thanks 😊🙏
What about dua in our sajdah? Can we say it in our own language?
@@mudhorikef5638 i do this. if it is wrong may someone let us know. i think it is ok to do
Salaam, I understand your argument.
Alhamdulillah
Nice explanation, Interesting. Thank you🙏
SUBHANNA ALLAH....I THINK ARABIC WILL BE THE LANGUAGE IN JANNAH...BECAUSE OF QURAAN....WHEN RECITED YOU JUST FEEL THAT YOU ARE ALREADY IN JANNAH ESPECIALLY SURATUL RAHMAAN.
Of course the language Arabic is language in jannah
Subha nna Allah may sweat heart am read jannnah waallayi.feel
Mufti menk please make videos of quran tafseer

I agree with this mufti. Difficult as...we should pray in Arabic.
I read a book called "scientific miracles of the Qur'an" and it changed me along with some good discusions with my good friend who is muslim.
I am a new convert but i am free from shaitan now that i bow to Allah.
Allahu akbar!
Thanks Mufti Menk 👍❤️
Mashallah Allah akber
May allah bless you and your family Ameen ❤️. Please keep me in your duas. Btw I love your videos they teach me a lot.
I am not a Muslim but I trust yuo
I go to church
You should definitely research Islam's guide and mericales and argue what you think is false to conclude the truth
Ja zakallah!
I’m glad the microphone and television was invented and he learned English so I can lay in my bed watching this to fall a sleep
I don't speak Arabic but I'm learning the al fatiha in Arabic I cannot explain why but it feels right
