  • Seth Gehle grew up with a single mother of 3 children. He was surrounded by drugs and violence at a young age and without a father.
At the age of 10, Seth would meet his eventual abuser - a man in his 30s. Over the course of the next 5 & 1/2 years Seth was sexually abused over 200 times. He would eventually report this man when he was 15 years old and send the man to prison for the rest of his life.
13 years after reporting the incident, Seth sits down with the former officer, Chad Cupples to hear his side of what happened on that heroic day.

Thank you for sharing your story, Seth. You spoke with such courage, conviction and bravery. So many victims just want to disappear and forget about the horrors they experienced. Not you! You wanted to HELP and be a lighthouse for the thousands of tiny boats wandering the dark sea. Blessings to you. 🙏🏽😌 You are a good man. Thank you.

Seth, you are inspiring. Officer Cupples, thank you for doing your job so well. Hearing this perspective of the case+arresting officer is really beyond valuable... I can only imagine from Seth's view of healing and knowing he has blackouts of this particular day, he has gaps that are being filled in. And from the perspective of first responders/LEOs, the emotional weight they carry from doing their job is a lot. Thinking and praying for you both. Thank you for this conversation, no matter how hard, infuriating, tragic it was to discuss what happened, and how hard it is to be a listener to the conversation. Thank you for allowing a space for others with relatable histories to also step forward with stories they have been carrying as a heavy burden. May your story inspire them to tell someone, and to try to lay that burden down and begin healing. You are doing such important work. Sending you guys all the love. God bless.
