But I'd like to say *thank you* for using Jackie Wilson! He was a sanging somebody. Influencing MJ, James Brown, Elvis, etc. Most people like to say this about their faves but Jackie Wilson is literally one of the greatest vocalists of all time.

Jackie Wilson wins. Beyonka is a great too. But her chest voice and head voice is no match for Jackie's. His voice was fully developed, to the point he could sing without a mic and still be heard.
I'd have to go with Jackie. they both are phenomenal singers in their technicality. I feel like pressing Jackie just has that edge for me for how he makes me feel as a listener and his tone and sound is just smoother and more unique...yet it just sounds so effortless.
The thing is, merely comparing high note clips does not capture the totally of an artist, particularly someone such as Jackie Wilson. He could do it all: opera, love ballads, uptempo, soul, you name it. Beyonce is just a pop singer. Not to take anything away from her, but I am making the point that Jackie had no competition. It was a rule that Jackie always performed last because no one could follow him. This was well known.

Yet, this man has an EXTENSIVE body of work that most people don't even know existed. But that's the music industry for you. He was screwed over big time. He had fans in his audiences such as Frank Sinatra, Jackie Gleason, Alfred Hitchcock, etc. No props, no gimmicks or auto-tune, just pure vocals and superior control of his voice. My father knew Jackie personally, and we working on a book about him. And we are jointly working on a documentary about the song that my father made as a tribute to him after Jackie had the heart attack.

Jackie Wilson WAS the total package. He could do opera, blues, soul, uptempo, love ballads, etc. He was the entertainer's entertainer. I love Jackie Wilson's ease and fuller timbre (I know this is subjective). Beyonce has more vocal stamina and sustenance of notes. They are basically a tie vocally. It's like their vocal counterparts; maybe she was inspired by him. Great video! 👏
