Jackie Wilson was the best rock and roll and rhythm and blues singer that ever lived.....a once in a lifetime phenomenon . It's unlikely that there will ever be anyone to equal his extraordinary soulful abilities . And my compliments to you Shinobi for recognizing his amazing 4 octive pitch perfect vocal range , and for producing this video in exceptional audio quality ....well done indeed .
Thanks for this. Right in time with him recieving his Walk of Fame star in 4 days, September 4, 2019!! GReat job on video and thanks for ur hard work!!
Jackie's "Prime Years" were from 1957 - 1962. the reason I say "prime", is that was when the music was best. Of course, there were MANY recordings he made after 1962 that were exceptional, however, I believe the quality of songs he recorded was not up to the great songs from th 50's: "Lonely Teardrops, That's Why", "To Be Loved", "I'll BE Satisfied", "Night", "DOGGIN AROUND" and Dozens more!!!
Jackie's voice in those years you mentioned was exceptional. I went to many a concert whether in jersey or New York. We were friends so I heard many of his songs. He told me he had a range of E above High C. That's the way he described it. If he were still here he probably would still be performing, maybe not falling on the floor which he usually did but that voice would still be strong. Miss you Jackie!
I can listen to Jackie wilson every day and never get bored
