This is what happens when you don’t invest money in maintaining infrastructure, and cut corners with deregulations.
It goes back decades, Jimmy Carter wanted to invest in upgrading infrastructure across the country when he was president….republicans axed the program. Over the years since, whenever those in Washington wanted to do something, the plans would get axed yet again. The excuse is always “it’s too expensive”. Well they would have the money if they would stop giving tax cuts to the rich.

There’s a lot of concern with the governors demeanor, but before we make assumptions about his character and intentions, it’s important to acknowledge that it could be a defense mechanism. Some people cope with and respond to stress by expressing themselves in ways antithetical to how we might expect. It doesn’t make him a bad person. We have know way of knowing. Let’s rather give him the benefit of the doubt and be supportive where possible instead of making assumptions…… the real concern here is why the broadcast is more about the bridge, and not about the lives lost. Bridges can be replaced. People cannot be.

But understand these steel bridges, they build differently from concrete n they are more expensive and they built like a bird or butterfly, once it got injured in part of it’s body then the whole things falling apart not like concrete bridges where each span support by itself. If we gonna build these steel bridges anymore it needs to re-engineer. Heard the reporter just said it’s the same as the Tempa bay bridge. Most of these steel bridges are the same. The mn steel bridge too, one span fall it trigger all spans n that’s the danger about steel bridge because of the design that all span support each other.

Key question for the key bridge collapse, where were the tug boats? They escort big ships until they reach open waters. No need to thank the first works, the helicopter pilots etc. Its a distraction from their own failures I'm guessing.
