It's wild you don't have more subscribers and this video isn't more viewed. I am currently finishing my Master's thesis for my Rhetoric degree, and this explanation is so succinct and clear--something that is ridiculously challenging to do with Burkean theory. Excellent video!
Thanks so much! I once had a professor who said something like, "Get what you can from Burke and don't worry about the rest: nobody understands everything." Words to live by. Congrats on the almost-finished thesis, though--that's no small feat!
Listening to your concise explanation was an excellent way to spend my lunch break. Happy to have stumbled across this channel. Thanks for doing the work you do.
If I called Burke's tone condescending, I don't think I meant to. If anything, his writing can be confusing because it's so theoretical (like some of the passages quoted in the video), but I don't generally find Burke to be condescending
@@JK-vz2ci Ah, okay! There are definitely condescending writers out there, but I don't think I'd count Burke as one of them. Either way, thanks for asking--and be sure to let me know if you have other questions!

Thanks a lot--I will!

@@WritingwithAndrew yes I didn't mean to say that you did, I was just curious about it personally
