We love when konosuba has its serious moments
when a normally comedy shows actually twist it upside down in its serious moments, kudos to how good the characterization are on everyone who in any other show would just be one-dimensional jokes
I know just one show that did it that good:
Kono Yūsha ga Ore Tsuē Kuse ni Shinchō Sugiru - commonly known as Cautious Hero
It was hilarious upt to the second episode when we learned why this hero was so insanely careful.

Supplementary info/LN changes (Long comment warning.)
They cut what happened after Kazuma returned home (they both expected him to be hurt from mouthing off and he explains the debt here and why Darkness has to marry, to Megumin and she explains that she sends money back to her family, so she has nothing but coupons and tickets.) Alderp set everything specifically, so it was quickly ready and she couldn’t suddenly change her mind. Slight change with the bubble wrap scene, is the explanation of how he made it with tar plant sap and digestive slime fluids and that these are trial products, Megumin actually cooling off after popping it and it working as intended, so she thanked him, and Kazuma being more irritable at Aqua from singing a Japanese nursery rhyme (because of the anger at the marriage.) 3:42 - Technically Wiz can, too (but they don’t know Wiz’s true power.) The Party Trick of Aqua and the Rookie Killer (first seen in KonoBakuen’s anime) had her submit a request for a captured one, in the LN and she also mentions the myth of Amaterasu and the cave, which is what this scene is replicating. 6:00 - ‘With this Explosion I summon.’ 6:18 - When Megumin confessed that she liked him again (first time in LN 5/the movie and says this again when she asks if he cares about Darkness or not), Kazuma was flustered and tried to hide his surprise and distracted her with a standing punching bag, which she used his utility knife on, when he told her to just punch and kick it. 9:27 - Technically the Vanir scene with Darkness. 12:24 - Vanir’s ability doesn’t work on Kazuma because he’s close to Aqua and his conniving outsmarted Vanir’s ability.
Unlike the anime, Kazuma knew Vanir wanted business and prepared all this for them and ran out of ideas, even using Japanese farming knowledge (Vanir also tries to troll Kazuma for negative emotions with knowledge of Wiz’s pantsu, but Kazuma surprised them by asking for the info later.) When talking about Alderp, Kazuma mentions that he investigated him and that Ignis (Darkness’ dad) did this too to get evidence and neither found any and brought up how the victimized women refused to talk about it, so the kingdom couldn’t do anything (also explained why he needed her to admit she needed help, as they strengthened security, he didn’t know how much money he needed to raise, and even Iris couldn’t interfere with consenting parties.) 14:50 - I mean, LN 3’s epilogue did have Vanir predict LN 7’s plotline, so it was foreshadowed. The debt from the flood is more than a few hundred million and Kazuma offered his hand to Aqua (cut from before was a rude butler from Alderp seeing Darkness and taking her to his mansion and he requested the Hydra subjugation in the first place.) The backstory of the guard was cut, talking about how he kept her safe from leaving the manor to play and that she used a ball to try to trick him, but he kept catching up to her, which she did this because her mom died and she didn’t have her playmate anymore and the guard chose to retire after the marriage (Darkness also reveals why she’s marrying Alderp, as she’s trying to find out his secret/evidence to prevent Alderp from doing as he pleases and to protect the town from him, which she didn’t think marrying Alderp was bad when she was younger, until she met Kazuma and Alderp wore a white tuxedo, in the LN.) In the wedding scene, someone (Kazuma) explains that professions that are holy in nature can solemnize weddings even if they aren’t a pastor, like an Archpriest (Aqua’s speech was a bit ruder, pointed out that she defies this as a Goddess, and told Darkness to safekeep her virginity from Alderp.) 17:59 - It hasn’t been a year yet, because Kazuma is still 16 and Megumin’s the only one who aged. As I mentioned Kazuma’s cut traumatic backstory before, it explains why Kazuma gets mad at handsome guys and trying to take away the ones he cares about, since he doesn’t want a repeat of being helpless/hurt again like with his childhood friend and the situation with Alderp is like that, leading to Kazuma being desperate and selling everything to Vanir, so he can get Darkness back.
This comment MIGHT contain spoilers about why Vanir just doesn't steal ideas from Kazuma's mind (and a bit of Megumin's spinoff):
When something is being crafted in this world four factors are in play:
1_the ingredients: the higher quality the better
2_the skill of the craftsman: having the appropriate skill set will shorten the craft time and increase the chance of the product functioning properly
3_the magic power of the craftsman in case of magical items: having more magical power means the product will be more powerful
4_ Luck: luck will drastically improve the chance of success in whatever you are planning to do although it may not improve the power of the product or cover the short comings of cheap materials it'll definitely improve the overall usability of the product.
Megumin's dad Heizeboru has high magic power, skill and moderate materials but his luck is down in the gutters that's why every product he makes is trash (almost every useless Item Wiz buys is crafted by him)
But for Kazuma the opposite is true his items might not be glorious or powerful but they do what they can as best as possible for example a lighter made by Heizeboru will be powerful enough to burn down a house in one go but will probably burn the user too or explode while one made by Kazuma will function as a regular lighter but it'll almost never malfunction or break.
Vanir buys Kazuma's items not because he has no idea how to make them but because Kazuma is very good craftsman (Kazuma's luck also applies to blueprints so items made of them will have kinda the same functionality)

Fun fact, Jun Fukushima (Kazuma’s VA) had been reading the Konosuba Light Novels and practising his lines even before Season 3 was greenlit because he believed it would happen one day.
His practice really paid off this episode
Darkness memorizing her good time being with her friends really hit. For she was sure that her good days in life were done, being forced to live a life with an unloving husband and in noble duties she never longed for.
Actually she deserves a good man who cares for her, but this will probably not be Kazuma for he trends to Megumin. Besides that Kazuma ain´t the man she flatters herself he would be.

I just realized that Konosuba 1 & 2 have 10 main episodes & 1 ova, but in S3 they have 11 main episodes
This probably means they sacrificed the OVA to make a longer season.
@@Vatsu03No, the OVAs were made after the Seasons aired and were made to promote/reward those who bought the LNs in Japan. Konosuba ended years ago, so no LNs to promote and no OVA (KonoBakuen had 12 episodes to cover 3 LNs and no OVA for it, either.)
Oh yeah...i love the smell of "bursting the wedding" in the morning LOL easily one of my top Konosuba episodes. Our gang's love for Darkness is real. #freelalatina

Sorry but no, Kazuma likes her only as a friend.
Kazuma just lusts her body but when its all said and done he has never done anything in the whole novel as there is only sexual tension between them.... with Megumin in the other hand.. she is kind of the opposite of what Kazuma says he likes, still that proves when you like someone for real it goes beyond appearances... Also if you ever read the novels well you think Eroness, Lewdness and Pervertness are fitting names cause Darkness has weird tastes? She actually is very very innocent.... but wait till you see Ero-Min.... Explotions is not the only thing she has knowledge apparently
Ay man just asking have you react to the angel next door spoil me rotten it's a great romance anime I know your gonna love it the first season is already finish but there's no season 2 yet I think it will come out this year
I have not reacted, I watched a little of season one before I started my channel, and sadly I really didn’t like it😭 no offense or anything but I really didn’t like it😅
