It does and I'd say it was at least partially intentional. The initial sequence is as sakugafest, but after that it has just average animation. And Nyx barely moves in the rest of the sequence, so I'd argue they probably could've animated her in 2D, but didn't.

CGI in animé ALWAYS looks weird. The only animé studio that's capable of great, unnoticeable CGI animation is MAPPA. See the animé Re-Main. It has got an amazing story, character and animation.
I'll take a 15 phase final boss over an 18-hit final boss any day of the week. I'm so glad they started making the persona series easier starting with 3.

P3 anime doesnt really give much about the social link and its progress, . P4A has better pacing to build up the final battle. Both of it work well imo, and they picked different theme and pacing accordingly. However persona 5 animation, abomination.

今更だが1年前ちょいに中古で、P3Fやってニュクス戦やったけどそこまで苦戦した覚えが無かったんよなぁ。ぶっちゃけ演出を見るだけの戦いだったよ。
後一周目クリアするのに130時間以上とめっちゃじっくりやってました。

Persona 3 Movies really did justice to its game counterpart. Unlike other Persona anime adaptation (P4, P4G, P5A).
P4 was actually really good imo, it followed more of a slice of lifey tone which is definitely appropriate for P4

吸収されるってことはほぼ確実に相手が火使ってくるからその防御の意味なんじゃないかと思います。実際スルトのシーンは結構防戦って感じに見えますし
