    Hey guys, here is another playthrough, this time its CoT 10. I did make a couple of mistakes early on in the key, but we still timed. New content still has some surprises :) Thanks so much for watching and subscribing!

    Well i only watched till the first boss. I never take mob pacsk with non elites into account. If we do that SP, balance,...would all suck. It's true that arcane st is op at the time of recording, but if a caster does more DPS on a boss with non stop movement I would say they nerfed it too hard yeah

    Hello @EpicGameVaultTV i really love those videos. I want to try in War Within Retri Pala for the first time but all those tier-lists are so subjective that i am quite confused. For what i learned from you videos is that Pala DD is great in m+ for aoe dmg but when it comes to single target he falls a bit off. Since i want to raid aswell, is he good for raiding? What do you think? Thanks anyways, i enjoy watching you!

      Hey @Soulsnow thanks so much for your kind comment and sub! In my humble opinion Ret Pal is still a solid choice for tww. We are doing quite well in m+ because of our very strong aoe and cleave. However, our single target is meager (especially after the recent tuning) and so our ST is not nearly as strong as most other classes, this is true.
      Luckily for us, the raid only has a couple of bosses that are pure single target. Likely ret will fall behind for those fights yes, but most of the raid bosses have a decent amount of adds so our aoe should allow us to perform well in raid overall. Additionally, our very strong utility and survivability more than makes up for it in most content. So unless you plan on pushing into mythic raids, I still believe ret will be a solid choice for tww.

    Btw why not Templar strike?

    • @EpicGameVaultTV
      @EpicGameVaultTV  2 месяца назад

      Templar strikes is a fun ability but the auto attack build performs slightly better and is easier to play. Templar strikes sims a bit lower probably because you are not able to keep your abilities on cooldown as easily. The auto attack build generates your holy power (instead of having to use crusader strike) and that allows you to press blade of justice/judgement and to use your spenders more optimally. Great question! Thanks so much for your comment and sub❤

    Was ret nerfed too much? I don’t think so. I’m actually doing more damage on live than I was before the changes. Granted I’ll have to see how it plays out when the expansion launches but in terms of clearing trash it feels better. The single target was nerfed a bit but you offset that by running execution sentence instead of final reckoning. The nerfs to final reckoning make execution sentence better anyway, even on the trash pulls, and especially if you’re also running Judge Jury and Executioner.

      I never like to see Ret Pally nerfs (this is my main on retail). But, the one thing I can say I do like is that with the recent changes there does not seem to be just one cookie cutter build that everyone agrees on anymore. I like it when there is discussion and when people can try different things without being an outcast. Really good to see people are enjoying ret. Thanks so much for watching/subscribing and for your comment!!

      Difference of Sets?

    • @EpicGameVaultTV
      @EpicGameVaultTV  2 месяца назад

      @@markz510 If you mean difference between hero trees, herald of the sun does more damage overall in large pulls (so probably will be best choice for mythic plus) because it does heavy dot damage that is not target capped. Templar seems to slightly outperform for single target and might be the preferred choice for raid content. Thanks for you comment!

      So, do you like to play heirald of the sun build? I thought that would be better for aoe in mythic versus Templar ?
      Or is the play style dinner with Templar ?

    • @EpicGameVaultTV
      @EpicGameVaultTV  2 месяца назад

      @@hannibal311 Herald does more aoe damage when there are lots of mobs due to uncapped damage over time, but other than positioning there are no differences in playstyle. Templar has hammer of light which is a super fun button to press. I've tried both and the dps is close but in retail im pretty sure ill go herald in keys, and templar in raid

    As I'm sure you know, they recently nerfed our single target and buffed our cleave/aoe. Since our aoe is indeed buffed by 25%, I would suggest to somewhat concentrate on your single target talents such as Divine Arbiter and perhaps Execution Sentence to compensate for our single target loss. Just my 2 cents. Thanks for sharing your video.

      Good idea. I actually tried that for a couple keys and it definitely helped on bosses and dungeons with smaller groups/pulls. Thanks so much for your comment and for watching

      Definitely not- focus on your strengths, which is mass AOE and Cleave. Let other specs, that do ST/Funnel much better than you, handle it. 10s now have both fortified and tyrannical so aoe is just as important.

      @@m_rod9562 I tend to agree, overall dps was much lower when i leaned toward single target talents. For some dungeons/groups where bosses are the roadblock it might be helpful, or when (for whatever reason) the tank was pulling small groups of trash it worked out alright to use ST talents. However, overall dps and hence the speed we cleared the dg was significantly better with an aoe/cleave build. Thanks so much for your comment and for subscribing
