Really liked your version of this. It's sort of got the feel of the live versions. I always got a bit stuck on the A and G chords. Never sounded quite right when I barred them, or played them further up the neck. Were you playing the E on the 6th string when you did them? Sounds like you were doing the E and B on the top 2 strings as well. Just about the best version I've heard done for one guitar.
Thank You!! I'm not quite sure what you're asking for here, but there are a few songbooks / tutorials floating around that explain how to play this. I've kinda taken a few ideas off the live versions and consolidated them into one guitar. It worked out well. I do want to remix this, though, as I think I can get a better final mix...
GREAT, I really enjoyed this performance and loved how well you followed Greens song. I hate it when others go off and add all sorts of stuff to a perfectly good song. The Green Manalishi was the first song that turned me into a Fleetwood Mac fan. Keep going and look out I'm right behind you.
Thank You! Yes, it's a great song with some fantastic guitar parts in it. Great fun to play and re-record. Just listening back, I may remix this at some point...
Great cover! I really like your chord voicings. I've been trying to play this in my band, but we're down to a three piece at the moment and it's hard to get that nice full sound, keeping the highs and the lows. I may have to borrow a few of your ideas!
Thank You!! Yeah, it's really important to get the right balance. I listened to a live version myself to get the voicings and I think they work really well... it's a great song to play!!
So I played all the guitar and bass parts, but the drums were done in Superior Drummer. I want to remix and remaster this, and the others too - I've learnt a lot about production since doing this cover!
@@themidnightcompany I can imagine that. Is a long topic with the mixing. Even with my portable home studio, I sometimes had unexpected problems and almost despaired. I think if you can hear every note from every instrument in mono, you've done a perfect mixing job. Unfortunately it doesn't always work! So you have to compromise... (That's what I know)
No one covers Peter Green as well as you do. Fantastic cover of a fantastic song.
Thank You! Peter Green is one of my favourite guitar players, so it's a pleasure to play his music
Loved this Jon. Haven't heard it in ages, beast of a tune. You've done it justice
MAGIC!!!!
Thanks!
Wow

Good job, nice cover
Thank You!
Wow, what a great cover!!!
Did you play the drums by yourself? And also the bass?

This song reminds me of Jethro Tull for some reason.
