Actively looking for jobs and failing miserably at it. A friend suggested properly updating my LinkedIn profile and I stumbled across your video. I'll try all of this. I hope I get somewhere with it. Thanks!
Having a custom background image is definitely key for STANDING OUT on LinkedIn 😊 When designing this, just keep in mind that the placement of your profile photo changes on mobile & desktop, and you’ll want to make sure that none of the important information on your LinkedIn cover photo (such as call-to-actions, other text etc.) GETS HIDDEN by your profile picture 😉
Great tips! Here's one tip I would add: In your headline, focus on WHAT you do, not WHO (position) you are- people also use LinkedIn to search and usually look for 'WHAT' or a capability (i.e Digital Marketer, Accountant, Business Coach, Software Developer) rather than positions (i.e CEO or MANAGER)
The correct picture is very important as most use it to form an immediate opinion. As you said, many things e.g. sunglasses are are 'no' and should be left for other non-professional social media platforms... totally agree.

You can upload your resume, but LinkedIn recently changed that feature. Now you have to add a section called 'Featured' there you can upload extra media and highlight some of your previous posts or articles.
Great job on your workout! Your dedication and effort are truly inspiring. It's amazing to see you pushing yourself to new limits and striving for progress. Keep up the hard work and never give up on your fitness goals. Remember, consistency is key, and you're definitely on the right track. Keep sweating, stay motivated, and keep crushing those workouts! 💪🔥
But sometimes you need to apply several jobs in different industries, so one may have different CVs by not mentioning some of the irrelevant working experience. However, you can only post one CV for employer's browsing in Linkedin. How can you make different CVs by not mentioning some of the irrelevant working experiences in order to apply different jobs in different industries please?
The thing to remember is that the work environment is constantly evolving. Many of today’s companies are looking for quality people with a broad range of skills. Fortunately, your diverse employment background and seemingly irrelevant experience are more of an asset than you might think. So, be bold and include that information in your resume, to properly showcase your true potential value as a prospective employee.
LinkedIn is the most hopeless job application site .You click on apply and still it will take you other site to fill the form and Simply they are publishing false ads On this very platform .Last worse review it doesn't give feedback like post accept ,accept ,reject not even a mail the Company viewed your profile on top prompting me to use my credit card for service there is no service .Now your LL will say on paid service you LL get a call I tried once nothing just a pass time Website .
In India if you cross 30 years just because you touched 31years your resume is thrown in the dustbin .So open challenge for you go through the process once of applyi g in India upto no -response till one year and don't forget to mention your surname hindu no catholics allowed forbidden doesn't matter your experience as long ur below 30years start applying on linkedIn then come back with ur preaching ... you only will die a nightmare before u approach me

Well over a decade ago I watched Jon Stewart mocking Linkedin. He observed that it smacks of desperation. Had I been more clever, I would have noted that Mr. Stewart was a very wealthy entertainer who employed an agent for the very same reasons that we in the real world might use Linkedin.
@@523olinda You are right after the 2003 beginning LinkedIn has become too laid back and boring for the millenials out there,
In India if you cross 30 years just because you touched 31years your resume is thrown in the dustbin .So open challenge for you go through the process once of applyi g in India upto no -response till one year and don't forget to mention your surname hindu no catholics allowed forbidden doesn't matter your experience as long ur below 30years start applying on linkedIn then come back with ur preaching ... you only will die a nightmare before u approach me
Very useful tips and nicely explained. I am a postdoctoral researcher interested in switching to industry. I think I would really need some help with the Summary. Would it be ok if I try to polish it a bit and then share it with you for some additional tips and guidance? Thanks in advance
Glad it was helpful!
At this point, I've been overwhelmed with requests, so I'm no longer reviewing profiles for free. However if you take my course a free review is included.

Glad you liked it! Thanks :)
Funny guy but I really wish I had not seen that clip.
