He may be calling you to a place or purpose that tattoos would not be a good idea for. I have been listening to your music even before you joined the Bethel family and never questioned your anointing...Now I heard the stories behind the tattoos you have...some of them represent things or people you love and you are thankful for, others represent nothing at all but you got them just because they are "cool", you even honoured people who sponsored you... but I don't understand how all that gives honour or shows love for The One Who gave you this body... I’m confused at how him getting a tattoo is any more dishonoring to the body than you drinking a soda. There’s lots of ways to dishonor your body and I think you need to stop getting caught up in the little things. God gave us these bodies and I have yet to see tattoos determine faithfulness.

Don’t be afraid to be bold for the Lord, God will reward you. So many people are being led astray because no one speaks up with the truth. The bible says not to make markings on the body. Although it is the old testament the new testament tells us our bodies are not our own we were bought with a price so imagine returning something borrowed all vandalized. We can try to justify it any way we want but it is disobedience to the Lord.

Jesus is still working on him. At some point he’s going to realize that he doesn’t need a tattoo to express his love for God no more than he needs to carry a sign that says it. My mom was a tattoo artist and was doing piercings not only that had people wanting to work for her. She let it all go, she was practicing drawing since she was 12 and wanted to be a tattoo artist since. She let it all go after God told her “Destroy my temple I will destroy you.” Just thought i would say that. •_•

Now if you got your tattoos before committing to the Lord that’s totally fine, before my dad became christian he got tattoos, but he hasn’t gotten another since following the Lord. I just have to ask one question brother. Did you or do you ask the Lord what He thinks of your tattoos? Do you think you are representing yourself as a holy man of God, set apart from the world? Or would people look at you and think you’re just another guy? I have tattoos. I was raised in the church but I did go into a life of drugs. When I got sober I got a cross on my ring finger to “remind myself” that I was married to Jesus and that way I wouldn’t fall into unhealthy relationships. I realized I don’t need a sign on my skin. I have the Holy Ghost to remind me and God‘s word that I read every day. I have since repented to the Lord and asked Him for a way to remove them. Through many years of praying He has told me that those tats are an example of my life in sin/ in the world. Now people can see that I dress modestly and definitely don’t act like the next chick up the street. But a righteous woman dressed in simplicity and humility. Just something to think about Brother. We have to get copyright privileges/permission to change or use art or stories in the world. Unfortunately I got sat down from playing in the worship team because I got a tattoo that was small and they weren’t having pastors are disappointed with me and what not but my faith and my belief and my views on God will always be the same and grow stronger but this hurt and I wanna worship and still be on the worship team but can’t no more 😢

I only just came across this video and it breaks my heart because I honestly thought that you had all those tattoos before you got saved, but what hurt me the most was your excitement talking about it as if though its something cool and exciting. I saw Chandler Moore having recent tattoos and it honestly disturbed me and I tried to brush it off, but really and truly its so baffling to see how 'worship leaders' like you all claim to know God's word but really and truly don't , and its sad. Now it even makes me question Pastor Furton's ministry because you're a worship leader at his church. This even makes me uncomfortable listening to Maverick City, but I will definitely pray for you guys because God is using your ministry to reach the corners of the earth. Is praise limited to song? Perhaps praise can be visual on your body? Only God will tell you if a tattoo is right for you though.

Tattoos are fleshly and those who get them are thinking about the things of this world and their flesh, not seeking after life in the Holy Spirit. Let us put to death the deeds of the flesh, and focus on life in the Holy Spirit.
When I got the tattoo “if His grace is an ocean, we’re all sinking.” Or “it is well with my soul” or “Matthew 11:28” those 100% came out of seasons where the Lord taught me something that I never wanted to forget. Coloring your hair or getting a nice haircut or pair of shoes can be considered “fleshly” as well. God looks at the heart. If the person with tattoos feels like they are justified in getting them - that there is deep meaning in them, who are you to judge? Leave that to God.

Agreed Leviticus 19:28 is clear and it’s the word of God. Just obey. If using the verses you may not understand sufficiently in order to execute on them as reason why you don’t execute on Lev 19:28, then what you have is a spirit of rebellion. If saying I’m not under law, I’m under grace.. also spirit of rebellion and cheapening the blood sacrifice and suffering of Christ.
From that interview, it sounds like his soul (H5315 not H3716.. see Numbers 30:2) is also tormented by the spirit of fear and the spirit of death. I have been listening to your music even before you joined the Bethel family and never questioned your anointing...Now I heard the stories behind the tattoos you have...some of them represent things or people you love and you are thankful for, others represent nothing at all but you got them just because they are "cool", you even honoured people who sponsored you... but I don't understand how all that gives honour or shows love for The One Who gave you this body... I’m confused at how him getting a tattoo is any more dishonoring to the body than you drinking a soda. There’s lots of ways to dishonor your body and I think you need to stop getting caught up in the little things. God gave us these bodies and I have yet to see tattoos determine faithfulness.

Don’t be afraid to be bold for the Lord, God will reward you. So many people are being led astray because no one speaks up with the truth. The bible says not to make markings on the body. Although it is the old testament the new testament tells us our bodies are not our own we were bought with a price so imagine returning something borrowed all vandalized. We can try to justify it any way we want but it is disobedience to the Lord.

Jesus is still working on him. At some point he’s going to realize that he doesn’t need a tattoo to express his love for God no more than he needs to carry a sign that says it. When those roots of love and worship of our Heavenly Father runs deep, it will shine like the sun itself. He would never have to look down at ink to remind himself of that.

She let it all go, she was practicing drawing since she was 12 and wanted to be a tattoo artist since.

I understand if she was marking people with things that are not good but I also had a vision from the lord of a tattoo on my arm when I never wanted one, just like your mother it's my personal revelation. I wouldn't condemn people from your mom's personal experience with the lord, we all have different convictions from the lord. Plus if you look as the history of tattoos it's very different from what it used to be when it said not to mark your body. Back then they used knives to carve out thing on their skin and scar like a wound from cutting themselves, not ink and tattoos were used for a completely different purpose.

Now if you got your tattoos before committing to the Lord that’s totally fine, before my dad became christian he got tattoos, but he hasn’t gotten another since following the Lord. I just have to ask one question brother. Did you or do you ask the Lord what He thinks of your tattoos? Do you think you are representing yourself as a holy man of God, set apart from the world? Or would people look at you and think you’re just another guy? I have tattoos. I was raised in the church but I did go into a life of drugs. When I got sober I got a cross on my ring finger to “remind myself” that I was married to Jesus and that way I wouldn’t fall into unhealthy relationships. I realized I don’t need a sign on my skin. I have the Holy Ghost to remind me and God‘s word that I read every day. I have since repented to the Lord and asked Him for a way to remove them. Through many years of praying He has told me that those tats are an example of my life in sin/ in the world. Now people can see that I dress modestly and definitely don’t act like the next chick up the street. But a righteous woman dressed in simplicity and humility. Just something to think about Brother. We have to get copyright privileges/permission to change or use art or stories in the world. I only just came across this video and it breaks my heart because I honestly thought that you had all those tattoos before you got saved, but what hurt me the most was your excitement talking about it as if though its something cool and exciting. Tattoos are an addiction like drugs. The Lord prohibits marking our bodies. I believe because the stripes he took for us were like tattoos. They signified his love for us. He endured pain not for pleasure but as a sacrifice. Then why would we foolishly carve our bodies and endure pain for vanity? Our loving God would not desire for us to inflict pain on ourselves. Leviticus 19:27, 28. The whole chapter of Leviticus is instructing us to the ways of the our Lord God. They were intended for the Israelites for a specific time and purpose. Christ is the fulfillment of the law, the once and for all blood sacrifice for our sins. We no longer are required to sacrifice animals, and we are no longer held under the Levitical law.

Is praise limited to song? Perhaps praise can be visual on your body? Only God will tell you if a tattoo is right for you though.

Are you referring to the context of making allowances for our fleshly desires? Tattoos are fleshly and those who get them are thinking about the things of this world and their flesh, not seeking after life in the Holy Spirit. Let us put to death the deeds of the flesh, and focus on life in the Holy Spirit.
When I got the tattoo “if His grace is an ocean, we’re all sinking.” Or “it is well with my soul” or “Matthew 11:28” those 100% came out of seasons where the Lord taught me something that I never wanted to forget. Coloring your hair or getting a nice haircut or pair of shoes can be considered “fleshly” as well. God looks at the heart. If the person with tattoos feels like they are justified in getting them - that there is deep meaning in them, who are you to judge? Leave that to God.
