the rap cadence you loved in the middle... she's hitting quarters and eights, but the beat underneath is pulling in sixteenths to make it feel doubled up and faster. And yeah, they'll often use the other girls to sing up an octave quieter behind the main singer and pick out harmonics. The people that produced this are truly legendary quality. The mention of the other song... the pattern for the chorus there is C---C D---D E---- and in More it's C---E D----F E--- (ntoes not important but the intervals).

Fantastic reaction man. I really like how you approach it. You openly admit it’s not your style of music but you accept and appreciate what sounds good to you. KDA did the same thing to me lol

I loved all you had to say about this! So sad you haven't reacted to another KDA song though. Popstars is great and different art direction, and Villain is kinda horny (and the video is astounding if you're into editing and 3D)

@SocialKidmusic please please please do more reactions to K/DA! This video was super cool and brought me to your channel.
Riot, the developers of league and this girl group, also just released a boy group with a song called "Paranoia" I would love to see your reactions

You talked about the genius level marketing of the Spice Girls, which is very true, and it therefore needs to be said that K/DA is first and foremost a marketing tool. The first song (POP/STARS) was released for the sole purpose of promoting/introducing a paid skin line. 2 Years later, they released The Baddest as a teaser for the album which dropped a few weeks later, from which More was the single. Again, to promote a skin line and introduce a new character to the world (the dreamy girl).
They have made a few e-bands in this way covering a spectrum of genres. They also release a (more or less, sometimes less :( ) annual hype up the year's play season song (Warriors with Imagine Dragons as an early example) and an annual worlds championships hype song with the previous year's winners featured in the animation.
This has lead to people jokingly saying Riot is a music company that also makes games. They did this through incredible branding and music used as a marketing tool.
    Genius.

If you want to get even more mind blown, watch this as if you were shooting a real world music video. Watch how the camera moves. They put a LOT of effort into making this as much like a legitimate music video as possible. In the opening shots, they built out led screens, complete with the rigging and everything they'd really have. The camera moves follow the words of the lyrics. "Fall" and the camera moves down, etc. A character throws their hand up and the camera moves up. In the end part when the new girl floats up off her bed if you watch the back ground, her bedroom walls pull outward and fade into the dark... it's a legitimate theatrical stage trick used in plays for centuries. When they are on the building we get helicopter shots, including a rack zoom where the focus puller is a little out of sync and goes too far before bringing it back. Including that little detail is next level. This video and Popstars are both masterclasses in music video production and cinematography. And the music itself is incredibly well crafted, dense by easy to listen to. In Popstars the camera is ALWYAS centered on the character and is ALWAYS moving away from them. The whole song being about how you can't touch them, you can't attain what they have.

There was an era of EDM I never thought I'll get hooked to. I hated house music but was slowly hooked with Japanese EDMs (not to be confused with JDMs lol). When chainsmokers went mainstream, a lot of good EDM artists/producers popped out too, that was like when pop music boomed in 2010 with Black Eyed Peas. I love your production view in this music.

I, too, am surprised there aren’t more comments.
    So… here we go! 😉
You’ve probably done some research by now and know that K/DA is a virtual group under League of Legends and Riot Games (which they have other virtual groups, as well; check ‘em out).
They’re comprised of Maddison Beer (Evelynn- claws); Soyeon (Akali- biker girl) and Miyeon (Ahri- fox girl) from the kpop group G-idle; Jaira Burns (Kai’Sa- wings); Lexie Liu (Seraphine). There are more apt descriptions and backstories, but I won’t get into that right now.
The debut song is “Pop/Stars” from 2018. They later came out with an actual EP album in 2020 with five songs, including “More”. They all have different sounds, each one reflecting a tone for each character.
*side note: Seraphine isn’t part of the main group, she was just featured on “More”. Also, some of the artists change up for some of the songs.
I would definitely give the songs a listen and the videos a watch.
I also highly recommend LoL’s cinematics and other videos. The music is fantastic and the visuals are insane.
If you like the production, you might want to check out the kpop industry, because a lot of the production sounds like this; bass-y, rich, genre-blending. Obviously, not all of it is the same sound, but they definitely have a cup of tea with your name on it. Lol

Since you obviously appreciate good production you should really do some K-Pop reactions. Even if you don't like the music that much the production is insane. Some girl groups to check out:
Blackpink (Their producer Teddy is one of the most famous in the world, biggest girl group in the world)
G-Idle (two members are featured in this song and they write and produce 90% of their music themselves)
    Some boy groups:
    EXO
BTS (Biggest boy group in the world)
Also, all League of legends music is insane quality for a video game company. You should check out more of their music.

you forgot you’re an EDM producer, you’re supposed to react on the music/sound. I was waiting for you to appreciate the detail added on to the music. the synths, reverbs, percussions , etc. You got distracted with the MV’s visual. ahahaha. nonetheless it’s how I reacted when i first discovered KD/A. I was mind blown. 💎
