Bought a 2019 Premier and absolutely love it. Only gripe is the 3rd row is only usable for the kids and with 3rd row up you have almost zero cargo room. Otherwise very solidly built, excellent bulletproof V8 engine, and fit and finish on interior is amazing for a Chevy.
I just rented this Tahoe premier tonight from AVIS. Gonna go put a few 1000 miles on it in the next few days on a road trip. So far this thing is freaking nice. My advice is to rent the car your thinking about buying, then if you like it buy it. I only drove it for about 50 miles tonight. With all that I'm pretty sure I can live with it. Might end up picking one up

justin bouche maybe because those two haven't been redesigned yet. Also why you speak shit about Japanese automakers? They'll probably last longer then any new Chevy. If you ever seen a Lexus in person you'll see how beautiful the cars are, it at least is bold and recognized and not bland like GM Motors or Chrysler.

Goldbugg 657 I love Lexus and Toyota, and I am a big fan boy, but The Tahoe and the Yukon(GM twins) do dominate the Fullsize SUV segment. They are beautiful, but when it comes to other vehicles GM makes for the crossover SUVs and the sedan segments I look at Japanese and Korean(Kia, Hyundai, and Genesis).

Not sure where the- not a smooth ride comes from. This baby rides very smooth. I tested so many SUV's and crossovers and the Tahoe is right in there.

William Burgoon okay so a 5.3L Silverado is what $30-40K? The Tahoe starts at $49K. $9K isn't a steep increase when you think of all the car it adds. You could always go for a base model. Everything else above that is just luxuries that aren't really needed.

LabradorLover 375 hp and 470 lb ft of torque, that’s not underpowered at all. Makes more power than your average Tahoe or Yukon. Escalades competitor the navigator makes 450 hp and 500 lb ft of torque. I prefer a v8 over a v6 myself but Ford is the leader when it comes to power

I don't see how GM can charge 75k+ for these cars. That's breaking into Land Rover/Range Rover pricing. Unless you need to carry nine people all the time, then these can't compete with those cars. A Range Rover or LR4 will blow this away in terms of ride quality, interior fit and finish, off-road ability and performance. Not to mention they are better looking. If I was looking to spend over 70k on an SUV, I would not be looking at anything made by GM. Maybe for around 55 or 60k but not for this price. The only advantage GM would have selling this is that there are more Chevy/GM dealerships around. For instance, I live 30 minutes away from a GM dealership whereas the closest LR dealership to me is over an hour away. However, I would definitely be willing to go a little farther to get a higher quality product.
***** reliability yes. Quality no. The interior of the Tahoe or pretty much any GM vehicle is full of little rattles and squeaks. You don't get that in the RR. The panel gaps in GM cars need work too. One side fits perfectly but the other side has massive gaps for no reason.
***** well that sucks but there's a family down the road from me with a RR Sport, LR 3, and newly purchased Discovery Sport in their driveway. Both the Sport and the LR 3 are at least 2010's so clearly they must love them if they've bought three land rovers.
Wow so you would not pay 70k for a Chevy but you would be dumb enough to pay for a Ford Explorer that is rebadged as a Range Rover at mark up of over 100,000 A Range Rover autobiography cost $160,000 when a ford Explorer cost 60k hey if you have the money .I guess it's ok but from the sound of you crying about 70k you don't have the money.
Des Brand dude. A Range Rover is far from a rebadged Explorer. It has air suspension and enough sound deadening to make it the equivalent of a luxury suite on wheels. It has more ground clearance and can wade more water than a Tahoe or Explorer. It has more power than a Tahoe or Explorer. It's faster than a Tahoe or Explorer. It's better looking than a Tahoe or Explorer. I could go on for days why the Range Rover is worth more. Honestly what do you get for 70k in the Tahoe. You can carry more people, that's it. The interior looks horrible and is not as nicely finished as a range Rover, it's not as quiet or smooth as a Range Rover, it's not as good off road. Honestly paying 85k for this is something I would never do.
Tahoe, is far more reliable than a Range Rover, ask any mechanic that. Also, the Tahoe seats far more people comfortably and it's ride quality is superb, just as it's reliability. I don't think you have ever driven a Tahoe. Ask any Tahoe driver, what they think of their truck. I bet all will tell you, it is fantastic. ahha

GM interiors look like three different sections from three different vehicles jammed together. Not aesthetically appeasing and very overpriced. GM customers pay twice for their vehicle; if you're confused use the second stage of consumer purchasing decision process called information search.

5.3L and all you get is 355hp and 383tq wow you can't tow too much of anything easily above 4k that's a good strain on the power train especially going up hill and trying to maintain hwy speed. It would be nice if it was at least a 5.7L or a 6.0L 🤦♂️

Ok America let me ask you a serious question concerning how they've dumbed so many people down severely and the greed of people (companies like Chevy for example) and what's really going on here. Let me ask you all this, I bought a brand new fully loaded Chevy suburban in 1997 straight off a dealer lot (had leather and 4x4 and all, literally everything and brand new,) for $27,000, now here it is 20 years later (well as of November of this year it'll be 20 years) and the step down from a suburban (tahoe) is now almost 50,000 dollars more, that's right almost 50 GRAND MORE!!! What's wrong here America?!?! All I can say is suckers, or should I say dummies, and all I can ask or say is how long are you all (America we the people) going to continue to let this go on?!?! And didn't we bail these crooks/criminals out (the big 3 auto manufacturers,) these crooks and criminals- people who spent high on the hog having many many mansions all over, luxurious yachts, jets, cars, lavish trips constantly, massive massive bank accounts everywhere, all the luxurious items anyone could ever want in their mansions etc, and they spent high on the hog and ran their companies into the ground and we bailed them out and they got to keep all of their luxury everything (jets, yacths, mansions, massive massive bank accounts etc) and now have the nerve to charge you way more than what a vehicle is actually worth (this vehicle should not be more than about $38-40,000 tops,) but they're charging $75,000/GRAND. Really, do they really have the nerve to do that after all they've done and after all this, and how long are you severely dumbed down people going to let this go on and keep being dumbed down and buying into their schemes?! You've heard it said many times, wake up America, but sad part is you all never will.
I agree Mr. Dan! Prices of new vehicles are outrageous for an average American. Besides where I live anyways where there is many homes 800,000$ plus, the cars you see parked in the driveways are vehicles like a 2004 Lexus RX or a 1998 Toyota Tacoma.

Why does Chevy Keep Taking off the LTZ Trim. Renaming Their Chevy Cars, Suv, to The Premier trim. Expect the Chevy Silverado That Still retains it's LTZ For 2017.
