    Katie, can you please convert the wire sizes to AWG? I don't know which gauge to use. Love your work and want to recreate it. Thanks!

      Hi, in the U.K. we work in millimetres, I’ve looked at conversations charts for you and the closest would be 15. But 16 would work with this design too.

    I love the raw copper used in this project, I have never worked with it, so does it tarnish?

    • @katieparkerjewellery7277
      @katieparkerjewellery7277  3 года назад +1

      Hi, thank you 😊 yes it does tarnish but you can use a wax sealant to help prevent it happening, such as Renaissance Wax.

    What I love about this bracelet is the gap between the two wires is narrow. I don't like the bracelets that have giant gap, it looks like cheap manufactured junk jewelry. thank you

    What would be the thickest wire you could use before it becomes to hard to work with just pliers?
    And when looking up silver wire to purchase it always says “dead soft” “hard” “soft”
    Which is best for a person who never takes her jewellery off? I work with horses and dogs so my rings and some times my bangles are all always bent and dinged 😂😂😂

    • @katieparkerjewellery7277
      @katieparkerjewellery7277  Год назад

      Hi, the thickest wire I work with is 2.5mm I mange this with my usually pliers and my heavier flush cutters my fine ones would break. Half hard is the wire I would go for and once work hardened it should be ok for normal use. I wouldn’t wear for working with horses though, most metals would bend and scratch when doing heavy work.

      @@katieparkerjewellery7277 thanks so much, what is work hardened? Do you have a video explaining it?

    • @katieparkerjewellery7277
      @katieparkerjewellery7277  Год назад +1

      @@kasie680 work hardening is the hammering of the metal. It’s in the video, the more work hardening you do on a piece the harder it will get but don’t hammer the metal flat because it would then become more brittle. Use a raw hide hammer if possible.
