  • @BrotherTree1
    @BrotherTree1 4 месяца назад +15

    Well done Zhang for an overdue big victory. As for Medvedev, he seriously just cannot play very well on non-hardcourt surfaces. He's almost hopeless on natural surfaces at the best of times because of the slippery effect of stop-and-starting and changing direction which he hasn't mastered. On top of that, not knowing how to adapt to bad bounces. It's an amazing miracle that he was even able to make the semis of Wimbledon last year.

    • @elmoblatch9787
      @elmoblatch9787 4 месяца назад +10

      If you are a Wimbledon semi-finalist, you can (by definition) play very well on a non-hardcourt surface.

    • @BrotherTree1
      @BrotherTree1 4 месяца назад +4

      @@elmoblatch9787 Not necessarily, sometimes you can get lucky with a good draw in any surface. Getting one strong result on the surface doesn't mean you're good on the surface by default. If you can replicate the good results on the surface over and over again with various different draws, that's a different story. Daniil has not shown that winning consistency on both clay and grass courts, whereas he has on hardcourts.

    • @seanthompson8302
      @seanthompson8302 4 месяца назад +1

      It's not a miracle really he made Wimbledon SF, it just shows how weak the tour is there are no grass specialists so basic grass players like Med go far because of a big serve

    Непритное ощущение, когда поставил на Чанга с кэфом 4.55, но после слитого 2 сета решил сделать возврат, а он взял и обоссал в конце данилку

    Isn't zhang a really good double player? He and the other zhang (women olympic gold) makes a good team. No wonder he likes volley. Also these are really tall players vs. older gen... zhang looks shorter than Dan but he is 6'4 :)

    Medvedev is such a one dimensional player. Only an elite hard courter

      Yeah, with a semis on Wimbledon and a masters title on clay. One dimensional indeed

      Well we saw his true level on clay as he has never performed well apart from that title and in that semi's run at wimbledon can you remind me of one seeded player that he defeated@@marchvertochko0056

    Wow…I like Med…but acting like that as he approached the net to congratulate the winner was not a good look for him.

    Зачем ломать ракетку?! Лучше отдать ее кому-нибудь, чтобы она тому человеку счастье принесла, раз тебе не приносит. Неуважительное отношение к инвентарю. Вон кинул болельщикам, наверняка из них найдутся те, кто этой ракеткой сможет поиграть. Психи.

    I love both Medvedev and Zhang. Good for Zhang but I wonder what will happen with Medvedev going forward, hope he can make finals again and win! Also, Zhang's outfit why is it pink, imagine it was blue or something
