I honestly thing the best thing I picked up from this is the long paintbrush. That is ideal for this and I need to get some
Yes its not the most easy part at some spots!
とても丁寧で素晴らしい出来映えですね。私も日本でFRP製品の製作をしてます。
👍👍👍👍
This is the greatest knowledge any one can get starting a fiber glass journey. All your videos have really helped me along mine. How do you keep the paint brush wet with resin for the amount of time it takes to lay down the fiber glass? my brush gets very hard after 15 - 20 min
Also whaat temperature are you working in? My resin gets gel like in 20 min.
Hi, thnx for liking the videos!
Well I use different mekp in winter and summer.
I always use 2% mekp.
For keeping it wet and dont let it gel I use max 350Gram resin a time when I work with brush, when you need more you just make some more and this way you keep getting good resin.
With a roller you can make bigger ammounts.
Hope this helps you!
Thanks for the tips and tricks. Wishing you well on all your projects 💪
so many very useful videos and so few likes and subscribers. gotta fix that! Can you please tell me how to copy complex plastic mounts? print on a 3d printer?
Thnx! I dont know how to fix the likes and subscribes :( .
Send me apic to my email Jec_racing@hotmail.Com
Couple of questions for you…
1) how long between layers do you wait?
2) I have an issue with air bubbles in the sharp corners, does the aerosil help to smooth out the edges so it’s easier to lay down the glass?
3) how long did this part take you to complete?
Hello,
First, thnx for watching!
1) This is only 1 layer 300G strand and 100G cloth they go on at the "same" time. The gelcoat I always let it set atleast one night.
2) The aerosil helps with this, this sticks a little more than resin. when I put down the strand I almost push all aerosil out but the little that remains stick better. Also most of the time its the type of strand mat that gives problems. complex sharp parts use Emulsion strand not pouder.
3) Well counting everything, painting gelcoat , laying down trimming and drilling. 3Hours
Hope I could help you.
regards Kenny
Thank you Kenny!
I also wanted to ask you how you are able to release the part and molds so easily. Everytime I make a part it takes me a lot of effort to release! Any secrets or tips you can give me on how to release better?
@@brandondowless8383 What do you use as a release agent ?
I got a video on how I make my moulds ready for release here
ruclips.net/video/HLwpwx_R_wE/видео.html
TR-104 high temp. I saw you like this and I do not do PVA either. I put about 6 coats and for some reason it’s always difficult to release.
Men!! O love this channel!! like a free gold!
Thanks you for all. Keep going.
