I like his videos much more than those by native Spanish speakers on RUclips who tell us that a concept is so very simple but to an English speaker makes no literal sense. I feel there's nothing wrong about getting mad about how confusing languages are and Spanish is full of "Why? What? Huh?" moments for me.

I'm just starting to learn this but it may help to sort of translate the sentences 'literally' at first in the sense that you help students see a greater pattern. In this case,
      "Carlos te presenta"
      "Carlos you introduces"
      or
      "Lo presentas"
      "Him you introduce"
Not correct, but it could help people recognize how they should place the words for actual translation

  • @raindogs451

I do not know if this is an issue or not. There is a TON of outstanding Spanish on youtube, and your charisma and down to earth speaking style, that often puts warning signs up early (ie, "this is confusing", "this often is a stumbling block", "I found this difficult" etc) is really helpful. It forces to bear down mentally in anticipation, and gives us encouragement to not beat ourselves up, making you one of the best. I am signing up. (Sorry for the run on sentence! I'm a native English speaker, so I have no excuse) I find the rapidity forces me to watch it 3 times. That's probably a good thing.

Gringo Español Do you have any tips for this problem below?
Currently, I have had two years of a not so good/ disorganized Spanish classes (mainly the teacher and me not being motivated) and I am really scared about 3rd year. I am at the point where I feel extremely behind, hating every minute of class and hw, and feel compelled to drop the class due to spending 1-2 hours on a 30 minutes on current assignments. I even have a speaking presentation this week and feel totally unprepared.(High School by the way)
Do you have any recommendations on how to "Crash course" my way up to speed and feel confident enough to pursue excellence in the class and actually be happy in it too?!
      Thanks!

I thought by adding the pronoun to the verb would confuse me, but hey, you’ve just made me realise that yes, it’s the same as English
Well done , I think I’ll use it that way too
Thank-you keep up the good work

Hi Jordan, just want to say thank you for all your hard work and effort you put into your videos, and how you explain with examples and your experiences, think your great, I am a busy busy woman, struggling to cram everything in, so I try and play your link to all 45 videos and have it on in the background, If it was a perfect world, I would press the slow down button constantly and the music in between the videos, I would cut and play something calming, soothing, I have the volume up high, so the current music is deafening! okay, small points, compared to all the brill videos you produce.
