    Hey guys! I’m curious has anyone used both Revolut & WISE to transfer money and do you have a preference? Would love to hear from you, thanks. ^Jonny

    Hi Jonny, I’m very impressed with Revolut. I upgraded my plan from Metal to Ultra as I really liked the Platinum card. I kept the Ultra plan for 13 days before deciding that actually £45 a month (going up to £55 a month in January 2025) was a lot of money. I’m not going to use the paid partnerships other than NordVPN. So I decided to downgrade to Premium (after watching your downgrade to premium video). I was very surprised that I received my £45 back and all I was charged for was £49 for the Ultra card and £7 for the premium plan. So all I had to pay was an extra £11.
    But I get to keep and use the shinny Ultra Platinum card. Your videos are very informative and so can’t wait for the next Revolut one.

    Good video again, but you have done reviews of both Revolut and Wise (rates, account opening,app,comparison) many times. We want to see videos about other providers,why they close accounts,monese becomes a bad account,algbra has some cashback issues lately etc. ty

    Awesome video as always. Have you seen the new limited edition Poppy Revolut card? They look good, I have just ordered one. I think I am becoming a collector of Revolut cards. I think you have a few? 😂

      I have seen that card. I ordered it last year and also again this year. I'll make sure to publish something about it as it's for such a good cause. You could say a few', although that's probably an understatement 😂

    I'm wondering if it is possible to send money to yourself from anywhere in the world with a 'request money' link?

      I don't see why not, you're technically just sending money to another account like you would do with any transfer. ^Jonny

    I do want to ask actually, out of the revolut standard, plus and premium
    I was going to go with standard as there is no fee.
    I wanted to ask if its more important to get one of the other cards - or only for a reason?

    • @Monitodotcom
      @Monitodotcom  7 месяцев назад

      Most people only really need Standard, but it will massively depend on your use case, can I just ask what you plan on using Revolut for? ^Jonny

      @Monitodotcom well I'll be travelling a bit next year and just better advantages overall

    • @Monitodotcom
      @Monitodotcom  7 месяцев назад

      go with Revolut Standard, and when you're ready to travel, upgrade to Premium, then use Premium for the duration of your travels. That way you'll have access to unlimited fee-free currency exchange, right now you probably don't require that but it is great when you are travelling. Let me know if you have any further questions. ^Jonny@@Matthew-ud8lh

    • @Monitodotcom
      @Monitodotcom  Месяц назад +1

      If you get your Revolut account up and running, get yourself the free Premium subscription and then send money that way, just make sure to do it during the week. I think that will be your best option because with Revolut Premium you're going to be getting fee-free currency exchange. Let me know if you have any issues with your account opening or if you need a different option. ^Jonny

    Do you know if you still get hit with a transfer fee if a sender from one country is transferring the money into your Wise account balance?
    That's a bit of a different method than having them direct debit to your bank using Wise as the intermediary/go-between.

    • @Monitodotcom

      Sorry to confirm, you're wondering whether you'll pay a fee IF someone from a foreign country transfers money into your WISE account? ^Jonny

      You should only pay a fee if you receive USD via a wire transfer, OR CAD (Canadian dollar) via SWIFT. If you're sent or receive any of the following currencies then you shouldn't incur a fee: AUD, CAD, EUR, GBP, HUF, NZD, RON, SGD, TRY
      Check out this page for more details (wise.com/gb/pricing/receive) Thank you! ^Jonny

      Okay so that rules out peer to peer transfers via Revolut as you can't open an account in the UAE. However, they could transfer the USD to your Revolut US dollar account, then you can just exchange it to GBP for free as it will be within your monthly allotment. That would be a pretty great outcome, and you should end up with an amount pretty much the mid-market rate. Just make sure to exchange the USD for GBP during the week. Does that all make sense? ^Jonny
