@@simplygolden1 Well I didn't get to make it on Mother's Day because my son had a complete crab boil dinner for me set up( he's getting me to like seafood now) but I made it for him, his wife and myself last night and we enjoyed it, I took a few leftovers home and ate them today. Even though I had a slight mishap with the stuffing , it was a little too wet because I had cut down the amount of Ritz crackers because I didn't think I had enough crabmeat ( the only ones I found came in a can like tuna packed in water, I had 2 cans), I should have used more crackers and also more breadcrumbs so it baked up mushy at first and I had to remove some stuffing (and I had use a lot😉) and rebake the shrimps another 10mins or so, but it was sooooooogood, again Thank You for the recipe 💜💛💙🧡💚❤

IMO, it is hard to find colossal shrimp. (we don't have a fish shop other then what is in my grocery). So when I do find them, like now around the holidays, I make this kind of recipe. So delish and decadent. You might try special ordering some they are usually U8 or U12 (8 or 12 to pound). I would stay away from the fresh water shrimp that always look great but have little flavor.
Idk where u are from but lump crab meat is almost $40 a can where I'm from so yes I will use imitation crab meat if u add the right seasonings u wouldn't taste the difference

The backs were already devein at the fish shop. I cleaned and devein the middle section at home before preparing.

Way too much filler. That’s a lot of cracker and bread crumbs for that little bit of crab meat.
You can definitely use less crackers and bread crumbs. However, that is the way my family and I like it.
