  • Temenos: Humanities Light Night
On Friday 17 November 2023 the TORCH team welcomed 2,200 people to an amazing Son et Lumiere night at the Radcliffe Humanities as part of the Oxford Light Festival and the "Everything is Connected" Season from the Cultural Programme.
Temenos tells the human story of the Radcliffe Observatory Quarter site from its Neolithic beginnings through the ages to its coming incarnation as the new Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities.
The creative inspiration for the project were Dr Victoria McGuinness (Head of Public Engagement) and Creative Industries Officer Tasha Patel.
The project brought together in-depth research and creativity by combining historical research with a compelling narrative and exceptional creative artists - JC Niala, Jenny Wong and John Pfumojena.
Many thanks to Ross Ashton and Karen Monid of The Projection Studio for their technical and creative brilliance.
