if you have issues filling the crate with the rum, instead of filling the crate to the maximum amount of items (10 bananas) only put like 5 so that way when you try to put the rum into the crate, it will fit. Then keep filling the crate until it can't fit anymore bananas. Once complete, then go back to Luthas to tell him you completed the task. At least that's what I tried, and it just worked. might be the only one running this quest these days lol but putting this here for anyone completing this quest in 2023

This was very helpful. I ended up in the castle because I was thinking direction of Sardomin’s hand and so the park statue points to a statue of another Sardomin which pointed to the castle. So this was very helpful.
There is a lot that went wrong due to me being cocky and didn't do any pre-preparation. I worked out with the other f2p quests so far but I should do as with the member ones. Note to myself :)

I went exploring the island (hey I paid to get here and I want my moneys worth) and the rum disappeared from my inventory.
