DA tests Ratty’s resilience on this job and discovers that Ratty is much more resilient than the drain. Best channel on RUclips! Cheers from South Florida.
I agree Ollie; the wisest thing to would be to replace the pipe *now* while things are already torn up. Leaving it like this would be the same as doing a full interior/exterior restoration on a classic car, and doing nothing to the engine that barely starts. Well done and a 👍 as always. Have a blessed Lords Day.
with that initial dropped pipe and all those roots, I expected a lot more damage in the pipeline. Good to see Ratty getting a try out for his old job. All Good 👍
Eu simplesmente amo o fato de ele além de fazer um ótimo trabalho, sempre limpa tudo e deixa as coisas organizadas depois de fazer alguma sujeira. Respeito máximo Senhor Ollie! 🤙🇧🇷
Thanks you sir, a month ago or something I mentioned ratty needs a fresh paint job. So satisfying seeing her pink tail.that is some jolly jetting.👍✌👏👏👏😊
I can’t believe how close the houses are to each other. All the room in Australia and things are jammed in so tight. But you are the man. Another great job
He’s in Sydney, it’s not a big flat area, it’s huge harbour with lots of bays and inlets. Lots of older inner city suburbs, houses and apartments built into hills. It wasn’t built for the car.
while ratty is on the lookout Ollie is working hard to clear the drain pipe of tree roots, greetings from the Netherlands. Hans.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🍀💯💯GOODMORNING OLLIE.
Iv been seeing videos from the other Aussie drain cleaner but not from you. I thought maybe you were taking a break from RUclips until I just noticed that the notifications for your videos got turned off somehow. Good to see you are still at it. I got some catching up to do.
Great video as always Ollie, return customer always good or bad.ratty did you well on being a lookout.hopefully this will solve their problem Kudos.👍👍👍😎😎😎
Hey how's it going I am one of your subscribers I really love your every time when you you locate the camera my bird will chirp in whistle with their locator
Ollie I like opening found the problem cleared it and got it flowing love the ending as well nice to see ratty back helping you again mate keep up the good work si u on the next one all good 🐀🐀🐀🐀👍👍👍👍👍
I wonder what people think when they see him doing the funny arm swing walk. I wonder if he tells these home owners that he is a youtube personality 😂😂
Yes Ollie i think we can call that one blocked. Another 5 meters or so more of pipes no concern at this stage. "Thar she blows" That's a bad one. There goes 5000psi up Ratty's rear. I bet that bought a tear to his eye. Time for a new pipe? That camera has made the job a lot easier for you. Another awesome job Ollie.
Wasn't sure where to post this but here goes. Have been watching videos and have notices that when you have to do a hose repair there sometimes is trouble matching the dies and the thing you put the new part in. SUGGESTION : Match up the parts and spray paint both halves of the die and the other thing and put them in a zip-lock bag. A different color for each size. Will cut down time needed to choose right pieces. You really had a hard time with this in video 682. Hope this helps
The painters just got done cleaning and re tapping from the sewer line clean out and they come back in the morning ready to paint and they say "Oh No Not Again!" haha... 🤣😂
I remember when the Double Barrel used to do these jobs, but i guess it got too fat for the job when the pipes are in such bad shape. This property basically needs all new plumbing.
My comments are based on my experiences here in America. It appears the major drain issue in Australia is roots, Roots, ROOTS, and more roots. Or am I wrong? Also, the number of issues related to roots seems to come from drain pipes that have been improperly installed (joints that have become separated for whatever reason - is that typical or just limited to the type of installation that was done during a particular period of time?). After clearing out roots isn't there something that could be used to stunt the growth of roots? I imagine the Ollies of Australia are kept busy by having to return every couple of years to "cut" roots from the very same drain pipe. Also, I have noticed a fair number of properties that have very little distance between the house and the property line (fence). In some instances, the sides are about a meter wide. Is that the case in selected urban areas? Many thanks for posting on a regular basis which gives me a chance to enjoy watching someone who proves an essential service to those who don't have the skills/abilities to do their own work.
The clay pipes you see are very old. They would have been the original pipes that were laid, before the use of pvc became widespread. The pipes were basically lengths that were slotted into one another. Over time the seals break down and start to leak so roots find their way in and cause further problems. Australia usually experiences long periods (weeks to months) where it doesn’t rain, so plants will search out moisture where they can, and pipes are usually that source. Dew usually keeps drain pipes moist, so it’s a perfect reservoir for plants to get their water from. The only way to prevent them coming back is to remove the offending tree or plants, or replace the pipes with new pvc ones. Otherwise they will just keep finding their way in. Small housing blocks are quite prevalent in big cities, especially where prices are at a premium. Properties that may have been quite large once upon a time have been subdivided to squeeze in more houses, and new land releases are often for much smaller blocks of land than you would have bought 50 years go. Australia is a vast country, but most people want to live fairly close to populated areas due to the lack of services such as healthcare and education and a lack of job opportunities. This in turn drives up housing costs. There are many regional towns, but if you needed specialist care you would have to travel to a larger city usually to get the care you needed.
Way to funny Ratty looking out the pipe, then up the pipe. Geez now in Rigid, fast mover, he's Magic at a metre deep and got the spray rear end, then he's looking out at the end. Good Job my man.
Hi Ollie. Just wondering: What was your thinking for attacking it from „upstream“? No worries about the street / cars? A lay person like me would have thought it’s easier when the water and dirt can flow out downstream 🤷🏻♂️? Great job as always! Cheers from Switzerland 🇨🇭

@jeffreysouthflorida8008 ratty has built up an immunity to the pressure from all his rides on the old double barrel.
I have no clue why I watch this, but I just can’t stop. Thanks for the videos
Here we are again mates, another BLOCKED DRAIN! Love your videos Ollie!
Good to see Ratty making “cameo “ appearances from time to time 😀👍
I am sure because of Ratty's status as an international super star he no longer has the time to help with every drain.
One thing I admire about Ollie is he takes pride in wat he does. 👍👍👍
It wouldn’t be Sunday w/o another great video drops from the drain gang!!! Thanks again there Ollie!
It’s nice seeing you coming back to previous sites to do more clearing!

And over the years properties have been extended to the max as they are so valuable.

@@lolcatz88 very succinct explanation. Many thanks.
Ratty looks like a bloody ninja staring out from The Dark.
All good!
He's got some digging to do ollie good job boss
Very wise words "replace the lot."
Way to funny Ratty looking out the pipe, then up the pipe. Geez now in Rigid, fast mover, he's Magic at a metre deep and got the spray rear end, then he's looking out at the end. Good Job my man.
