Join me as we take a look at the brand new NECA Toys cartoon TMNT 2 packs and complete the original Bebop & Rocksteady gang!

I always wanted a set of the gang from the first episode
9:17 The whole mutated gang looks so great together. Interestingly, you can divide the other four in teams of two based on name gimmicks like Bebop and Rocksteady who are named after different types of Music. Scrag and Grunt are associated with beating people up while Dopey and Dumbo are named after characters from old Disney films and are names that can be used to call someone dumb.
Too much too soon. I wanted more but I had to settle for a few. & Jersey red & mirrage Chester cheeto, are the 2 I want left. Minus the baby turtles selling out in 2 seconds. Haul-A-thon was good $220 I spent add tax $240’sh & my max was $300. Gremlin spider was unexpected & fun seeing rereleased. 2nd markets around $250 for him
Had to think for a second with what you meant by Mirage Chester Cheetah. Like, ohhhh, Jagwar, the Archie comics jaguar character. But yeah, why not, Chester Cheetah lol. And yeah, I'm anxiously waiting to order those, especially considerin' Jagwar will probably sell out really fast. And I missed out on the cartoon accessory pack too. The only thing I wasn't able to get, despite being logged in a couple minutes before the hour. I did sequentially learn with the next couple weekly drops that some items initially show sold out, but then show in stock a couple minutes later. So once I lock in an order (minus an item showing sold out), I then discover the other item is now available...so multiple packages for each order it is.
Jersey Red wasn't at the very beginning of the first episodes with the gang and she's the only one who didn't had a Mutant form.
@timdakis2107 True I'm sure she will go up in value along with Grunt shortly. Glad I've added her to my collection!

@@ToyShiz Jersey Red only appeared in The Gang's All Here and Once Upon A Time Machine. I hope we get the other 2 punks from those episodes Lognut (bald guy in white shirt with chains) and High Five (with brown mohawk hair even his old look).

I would've preferred releasing the Grunt and Scrag figures as a 2-pack instead.
It's too bad that we never got to see the rest of the mutated gang members go up against the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in the first season of the 1987 TV series.
10:09 Nope, absolutely never thought we'd get to this point. Even with prayin' they'd make the arcade set into toon versions, I was over-the-moon we got more than that 8-pack years later. And everything after Mondo, Ace, Usagi, Wingnut, etc. has just been icing on the Turtles cake made of several thousand dollars.
Tempestra, Merdude, and Ray are at the top of my list with characters that haven't been made. Oh, and when Krang cloned himself, and they all grew into big reptilian lookin' creatures. Those would make for some nice deluxe VHS packaging figures....but man, there's like 6 of 'em from what I recall 😬.

I'd love to hear the creators thoughts on Dopey. Like, how in the world is that supposed to be a shrew? Between the head and only one arm mutating, dude looks like someone with elephantitis that you'd come across on RUclips and feel really sorry for. And Dumbo, that guy looks like a Muppet or something from HR Pufnstuf. Pretty much useless hands, but dude can scratch ya!

Didn't get Skrag much to my crushing regret. I hope they do another one down the line (different in some way because I know the loote crate figure has to remain unique). My guess is they'll do a 7 pack or something where you'll have to buy the whole gang again just to get him. And I will. Nonetheless, it's great to get the whole gang that we never got to see again after that 5 part intro. I mean, yeah, we saw them like once or twice on the Technodrome later on but you know what I mean.
Oh man, yeah, I don't see NECA ever in any way re-releasing Scrag. A 6-pack (cause Jersey Red isn't part of the gang - just a filler to go with Grunt) would be cool, but I don't ever see that happening. Since Trevor has mentioned the Loot Crate exclusives won't get produced again, it seems like you'll have to bite the bullet and get Scrag on eBay. At least it's not going for as much as bunny Bebop & Rocksteady.
Give it a few months. I bet many people will have some serious buyer's remorse spending like $600 on filling out the gang in both civilian and mutated forms and they will start selling them (2x Scrag, 2x each of the 2-packs, SDCC civilian set and the core Bebop/Rocksteady). There's only so much space. And the Sewer Lair dioramas are about to be announced.

I don't see the two gang member 2-packs going up in value anytime soon; so that probably won't be an issue to get later on. As far as the pre-mutation set, hmmm...maybe they'll be up for sale again in some form. But Scrag, that's a different story. The only possibility I can think of is if they produce a completely new version, or at the very least make one with the initial prototype heads; cause those got changed with the final product. That _could_ be a loophole around the whole not re-releasing Loot Crate exclusives. And of course rules are forever changing, so they might just give us the exact same figure again.
@@Chalor. Yeah, I saw Trevor speak on the Loot Crate figures in interviews. But time had a way of changing things like that. Also, a variant Skrag is definitely in the realm of possibility. A variant lets him keep his word. I don't need that figure today. I can wait.
@@Chalor. Skipping Bunny Bebop and Rockteady and ditto for their robotic incarnations! I did get their Super Hero versions and their original form and pre mutated versions which was a SDCC exclusive not cheap!
