Somewhere in the back of my mind, I remember that Somnus had freaking GILGAMESH as his royal guard. Guess he had a change of heart and decided to screw it all, leaving his master to get his ass handed back to him on a silver plate by 4 adventurers who are more closely knit than Somnus ever was with his brother.

The Mystic seems to be the same knight that appears in the Audi spot. In addition, if you read his weapon description, it says that he ruled alongside the Oracle, who I think it was Ardyn (since he also used to have the power to cure people).

I easily beat this boss on first go . . . well, especially since I overpowered myself by completing almost every quest & hunt before leaving to Altissia.
I still can't believe I waited a decade and they released this game without even finishing the story. The story is everything. It affects the gameplay. They kept trying to finish the story through mixed media released all over the place and they still couldn't complete the damn game.

@@soralight_x according to the live stream sources, some of the canceled DLC episodes might appear in some other form, like anime or manga. This fits perfectly considering the tight schedule and to prevent more confusion. They be also better quality in other forms of media like the brotherhood anime, which was also referenced in the main game.
Arenea's side story can pass off in a different form. I prefer seeing some parts of her past; assuming she used to be a huntress along with Biggis and Wedge in their teen years before being merceneries for hire by the Empire. This moves to her learning about the empire dark side and the Altissia event, to rallying her appointed troops to leave the Empire for a better cause against the starscrouge. I can guess the ending will show her heading to the empire snowfields to the magnetik facilities to investigate.
And now I want Episode Ardyn. Give it to me, Tabata. Please! I need it!

From what we know is that Ardyn styled himself as a “healer of the people.” Then when he tried to become King of Lucis the Crystal denied him ascension and now Ardyn blames Somnus for becoming King.
Unless I’m mistaken, Ardyn made a choice to absorb Daemons and was proud of his own actions.
Well, we don’t know the truth. Ardyn isn’t truthful. For all we know, Somnus was forced to take up the mantle and Ardyn only saw it as greed and jealousy. Who knows how truthful Ardyn’s account is. We’ll find out in Episode Ardyn.

@@soralight_x What the hell are you talking about, FFXV was released unfinished because of Nomura who is a horrible director, that's undeniable. If it wasn't for Tabata FFXV would have taken much longer and even at launch it would have been a major disaster, worse than the current game.
Tabata is a hero and he did the best that could be done with the burning building that was thrown into his hands.

I fought this boss for like 20 minutes only to failed because I ran out of phoenix down in my first playthrough. I didn't do many side quests and straight to the story quest. Maybe that's why I'm so under-leveled

There is a DLC called Royal Pack, which you can buy so your normal edition just goes Royal Edition

Fredy 20 Technically Ardyn was already deemed impure by the Astrals after he absorbed daemons into him and was cast out as a result.

it includes the multiplayer comrades, all 3 episodes of prompto, gladio and ignis, an alternate ending, weapon packs, alternate outfit for noctis, switching between the main party, new cutscenes, new accessories and a new armiger...wish people remembered its all of this, not just the new bosses and some cutscenes

Aslan Nahdi One eye is open and the other one closed shut due to burns and scarring. It's always been that way. Easier to notice it on young Ignis because he doesn't have a visor.

Well theses bosses are lvl 50 ... If you are lvl 90 or 100 OF COURSE it will be 0 challenge ...
At level 50 where you're expected to beat the game they're pretty damn hard. Definitely more than Ardyn

DanTheMan33088 doesn't matter. Most people will be high leveled for a game that's getting new content over a year later.
blackmanwithcomputer Yeah, but is it reasonable to expect a lv 100+ boss for all new challenges in game versus having them scaled for the ideal progression? Since this seems to be before the final battle which was around lv56 iirc. Having a level 53 boss in the interim makes way more sense than a lv99 mandatory boss before the final boss, even if the party is over leveled. It ain't an oversight to not spike difficulty for new fights that are part of the story before its conclusion, easy or not.

Still a nice game but some time will have to pass before I forget enough of the story to replay it again with the extra's. It is comendible that square is trying to keep the community happy atleast.
