Hi Sasha, If the stock close at $2.60 today and I place a sell limit order at $1.60 good till cancelled. Will my sell order gets filled even if the price still up above $2.60?
Thanks Sasha for your informative vids. Anytime I need to have an answer to a stock question, I am so glad you have these here. It truly is helpful. Best to you with trading!
Thank you for the videos I will subscribe. What is your opinion on this scenario? Stock ABC Bid price 48.20 Ask price 48.22. If I placed a limit order at 49$ they will fill me at the best available price correct? Around the 48.22 range? I always use limit orders even for something I want instantly. I haven't ever seen a point in using the market order.
Got a question about buy limit order for pre-market. Lets say the stock i want to buy is $5 and i want to buy it but am afraid i will get filled at a high price if i set market order. If i set a buy limit order at exactly $5, will I get filled? Or do I set the buy limit order above or below the current pre-market price?
So I’m trying to buy HITIF right now on fidelity a share cost about $0.60, but it said they don’t sell market orders on stocks less than $1 and I’d have to buy them as limit orders. I wanted to buy $100 worth of it. Would it make sense if I put my limit at $5? If anybody out there can please help me I’d really appreciate it 🙏🏼
I had a question - so say Amazon went down $1 during market hours and during after market hours it sky rockets down $10. So basically what this means is right when the market opens the next day the stock will go back to the $1 it was down but during the day there's a good chance it will get down to $10 correct? So I should probably sell my shares the morning of, before it starts trending down close to 10$?
Hi Sasha, Can the Limit Order be used effectively in the following scenario as an Example: - Stock is priced 80$ at the moment - Previous resistance were at 100$ and you are watching this price as an entrance - You have a 9-5 daily job and you don't want to miss the potential spike on the resistance line being broken Now if you place a limit order at 100$ (with current price being 80$), would that get filled only when the market riches the price around 100$? Or is there a risk that the order get's filled immediately because someone else want's to sell it more expensive than the market price? Thanks for your video :)
Hi, how can I analyze the volume or liquidity in a certain stock, let's say a small company will have a lot less volume than a huge company, is there a way I can value liquidity depending on the company size?
@@tradersflyofficial well I tried it on a crypto exchange and it filled me instantly! Why would it do that do you think? Then say because the current price was lower than the limit price
Hi there, thanks for the video. I wanted to expand on limit orders. Does the limit order always gets filled if the price goes beyond the limit order? So let's say I want to go long at 35$ at market open, stock is trading at 36$, goes down to 34$ and back up to 36$ within the first minute of market open, with the wide bid spread associated with market open and high volatility, will my order get filled at 35$ assuming liquidity is not an issue?
To me, there is NO OTHER way to Daytrade. Set a limit for 4-12 cents below the current market price. Then after I've acquired an order, I set a sell limit about 4-12 cents above what the current market price was at.
Hey sasha, Iv noticed a change in volume and very messy intraday charts the past couple of weeks. Are there holidays in America at the moment? Or is it just uncertainty in the market?
+Steven Stamatis I guess it's because people are waiting to see what will happen with the Fed if there will be a raise in interest or no, but stay based on what you see :)
how do you sell your stock on td ameritrade by T-Stop % and $? Let's say a penny stock is .18 cents and when the market open, i know that the price will go up to 20 cents by mid day it will go to 24 cents. So let's say i want to sell my stock by 22 cents, how do you set it with T-Stop $ to sell when the price reaches 22 cents?
i bought the stock on limit order at 1.98 and sell the stock on 2.04 for the market order and lost 11 dolor how is possible i should have gain some money not loss
Asim: How many shares did you buy and sell? What brokerage did you use, just in case the commissions were included in your total? What did your statement read?
Please note difference in meaning & pronunciation between "exuberant" & "exorbitant" !! Sasha is an exuberant host who might (or might not) pay exorbitant prices for his stocks...
what about placing a limit when the market is closed. I placed a limit $ .65 market opened at $.62 but I paid $.64 10000 shares screwed for $200 its bad enough with the high dealing charges but when the steal another $200 it stinks!! These people don't have a lousy name for nothing

Thanks Sasha for your informative vids. Anytime I need to have an answer to a stock question, I am so glad you have these here. It truly is helpful. Best to you with trading!

If I set the limit to buy a stock at 2$. The order will filled at the ask price even if the price is 2,02?
does the limit order still go through if the stock price had passed the limit you set? ex: limit set at .10 stock price jumps from .09 to .14
Thanks!
Learnt a lot. This is very useful.

Awesome, thanks man :)

and what about if price is 25, but I ONLY want to enter when it touches 30 (proof of bullishness), I would place a limit order to buy at 30?
Yes you can do that in your order panel within your platform. There is a few different types of triggers such as a stop limit order

Great! Thanks for your reply and your videos!
thanks for this. I had the right trade and the wrong execution order, and ended up losing money because of that. Antonella
Isn't "buy stop" opposite of "buy limit"? So when price keeps going up, trigger "buy stop". When price goes down, trigger "buy limit".

Is it free to cancel a limit order? I use fidelity
Most of the time, yes - i imagine if the order does not go through it wont charge you but you can reach out directly to Fidelity and ask.

If the stock price keeps going up, "Buy Limit" will not get filled. So this will be a HUGE downfall.
You said Feng Shui! I like you thinking!
Excellent video
Hi,I did this with cannabis Sativa stock and got a great deal.
What's the stock name
Wanted to add both the bid and the ask price was $5 at the time and the stock is very liquid
Great vid helped me alot
Wonderful to hear! Thank you for watching
Do you still pay commission if the position is not filled?
Siang no way
links in the video don't work
So with limit orders execution is not guaranteed . Isn`t that one of the cons ??
Thanks
Pretty much
